Context:

The Credit Risk team assesses the creditworthiness of counterparties, participates in the negotiation of commercial contracts, and calibrates credit limits. Assessment is done through an analysis of the country, sector, industry, and counterparty, using financials and other quantitative and qualitative public and private information. Counterparties are frequently private and unrated by agencies. Contract negotiation includes physical energy commodities agreements, and credit terms can include credit-specific clauses, financial covenants, collateral, and payment terms. After signing off on a contract, the Credit Risk team monitors exposure against credit limits. The credit health and financial condition of counterparties is also continuously monitored.

Role:

As a Credit Risk Analyst for Global LNG & Biomass business, you will report to the Head of Credit for LNG & Biomass and will be based in Singapore. You will collaborate to the fulfillment of department missions and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across commercial functions and staff.

Role summary:

We are looking for an ambitious individual with entrepreneurial spirit to join our Commercial – Origination team with a focus in Structuring and Solutioning. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude with three primary areas of responsibilities (1) Assist in co-developing client value proposition in the space of supply chain finance (“SCF”) and receivables finance (“RF”); (2) Support business and deal enablement; (3) Support end-to-end deal execution

Responsibilities:

(1) Assist in co-developing client value proposition

• Assist in co-developing SCF and RF product (“Product”) strategy based on market insights, existing gaps, and exploring opportunities along with Corporate Coverage.
• Assist in developing bespoke transaction structures which fulfils client needs and address clients’ pain points with appropriate risk mitigation solutions for internal stakeholders and investors.
• Provide market feedback to Trade Product team to develop or enhance product and system.

(2) Support business and deal enablement

• Support the deal team to ensure timely achievement of execution timeline and escalate gaps to deal team.
• Support in liaising with clients and internal teams to conduct corporate and transactional due diligence.
• Embed quality in all document touchpoints – developing related investor materials, writing internal deal memos/approvals, etc.

(3) Support end-to-end deal execution

• Support Corporate Coverage on all product related aspects of prospecting and client pitch.
• Assist in coordinating with other internal teams to structure bespoke solutions.
• Assist deal lead for deal execution, including partnering closely with Risk, Legal, DS&I to ensure timely and seamless execution of a deal mandate.

• Build strong and trusting relationships with Bunker Traders, with the ability to influence and train them on how to use the CRM system.
• Review and analyze CRM and research data using tableau to track and report on revenue, pipeline, and performance.
• Maintain accurate and timely customer data in CRM (Hubspot); add new entries into the CRM system (companies, contacts, deals), manage existing entries, keep the data tidy and free of duplicates.
