About this Role
The Data Center Leader, Asia Pacific is a newly created and highly strategic leadership role focusing on business development and HVAC Sales for the profitable growth of Carrier HVAC Asia Pacific region. You will be responsible for growing commercial equipment, controls and service sales with specific focus on expanding our Data Center customers.
This includes leading a team of business development / sales leaders in the region to explore key market opportunities across Asia Pacific, development, and implementations of strategies to maximize sales margins while increasing market share in Asia Pacific. Your extensive knowledge about Data Center products along with exposure in the HVAC industry will help drive our business objectives to deliver end to end sustainable, intelligent climate and energy efficiency solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data center ecosystem solutions strategy aligned with company’s overall goals and objectives for the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of data center market landscape, dynamics, regulatory requirements, competition, sales channels, and market growth strategies.
- Build and execute Enterprise Account Management strategies for key, target, managed, and maintained owner, consultant and contractor accounts focused on the data center industry with local sales representatives where they exist.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability in partnership with Region P&L Leadership teams to strengthen and build customer relationships to support market share growth in equipment, controls, and service offerings.
- Partner with Global Engineering, Product Management and Regional P&L leaders team on development of products and lifecycle solutions / services for the Data Center segments.
- Lead initiatives on program development, tools, training and on-going support to maximize the productivity and effectiveness of a data center focused sales team.
- Lead cross functional teams to build employee engagement and best practice sharing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12 – 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, smart building solutions, within the Data Centers business with a focus on HVAC products within Asia Pacific region
- Strong supervisory, people management and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific market dynamics and trends
