On your day to day:

• Handle multiple projects and provide network design and deployment support from project initiation to closure.
• Follow network standards and configuration templates to prepare Network Design Documents (NDD) and submit for review and approval. Create Build Packages that includes implementation plans, test plans and network changes.
• Oversee the deployment of Build Packages on the corporate data network. Implement network changes during the allowed weekend green zone window.
• For some large/complex projects, you will be required to represent network domain in a virtual team and effectively communicate and liaise with business/technical stream owners.
• Assist with knowledge transfer of new products to internal teams.
• Assist in the development of & implementation of processes to allow repeatable designs with the view of provisioning automation and efficiencies.
• Prepare and submit all required project documentations for audit purpose & project closure

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) working with Cisco and Arista network devices (routers and switches).
• Minimum of at least CCNP or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF.
• Experience on WAN technology, e.g. Metro Ethernet, MPLS. VPLS, IPLC etc.
• Preferable with working experience on using Multicast in a Cisco/Arista environment.
• Preferable with working experience in large financial or banking network operation/implementation team.
• Ability to effectively communicate to internal clients through all available mediums (verbal, listening, writing, presenting).
• Willing to work during weekends for implementation of network changes.
• Willing to work for extended working hours when needed.
• PC Literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Provide First Call Resolution (FCR) technical support via phone and email. Ensure calls are answered and emails are responded in a timely manner. 2. Perform first level troubleshooting on all reported incidents and escalate incidents to 2nd level resolver groups as per work instructions. 3. Furnish and submit timely updates to customers on the status of outstanding issues within targeted Service Level 4. Maintain ownership of cases and follow-up on reported issues until closure and gather accurate and complete relevant information is recorded. 5. Manage customer expectations and notify Team Lead in the event of unusual surge in calls of a specific nature. 6. Handle initial classification/ prioritization of the incidents. Track the progress of resolution and provide regular updates for follow-up actions and incident status. 7. Any other adhoc duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer’s prime responsibility is to provide technical sales support and recommendations to internal and external customers on the Cisco Security Solutions Portfolio. The successful candidate will have wide-ranging knowledge and experience across the information security domain. Through a consultative approach, the Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will be expected to articulate the benefits of the Cisco Security Platform and integrated Architecture across Hybrid Cloud Transformation, Trusted Access, Security Operations and IoT. The role holder will be an excellent communicator and adept in having business and technical conversations at various levels with customers, partners and internal team members.

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, industry trends, and best practices. Use your knowledge to clearly convey the value and capabilities of our cybersecurity solutions to potential customers. It should be wide-ranging across technology stacks including networking, cloud, and application infrastructures as well as having a good understanding of the cybersecurity vendor landscape.

• Collaborating with the sales team to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our cybersecurity offerings. Tailor your presentations to address the specific needs and challenges faced by our diverse customers, ensuring that our solutions align with their requirements.

Relationship Building

• Establishing deep relationships with prospective customers, including key partners and decision-makers. Actively listen to their concerns, understand their goals, and provide personalised solutions that promote diversity and inclusivity within their cybersecurity strategies.

Requirements Gathering

• Conducting detailed assessments of customer needs, challenges, and existing cybersecurity frameworks. Work closely with customers to identify areas for improvement, highlight potential risks, and propose tailored solutions that address their specific requirements.

Teamwork

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to provide input on product development, market trends, and customer feedback. Contribute to a culture of diversity and inclusion within our organization, promoting equal opportunities for all.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent understanding of cybersecurity concepts (ex. NG Firewall, NG IPS, ZeroTrust, etc.), technologies, and best practices
• Consistent track record in a pre-sales or technical sales role within the cybersecurity industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred
• Industry certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CCSP etc. and/or a Cisco CCIE Security will be very highly regarded
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically
• Proven ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships
