SCOPE OVERVIEW

An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports a company's operations. This includes hardware like servers, storage devices, and networking equipment, as well as software like operating systems, databases, and virtualization platforms.

Design and Architecture:

• Designing and planning the infrastructure to meet the organization's needs.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the infrastructure.
• Ensuring the infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and security standards.

Implementation and Deployment:

• Deploying and configuring hardware and software components.
• Integrating new infrastructure components with existing systems.
• Performing system upgrades and migrations.

Maintenance and Support:

• Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks like backups, updates, and security patches.
• Providing technical support to end-users.

Security:

• Implementing security measures to protect the infrastructure from threats.
• Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Responding to security incidents and implementing corrective actions.

Automation:

• Automating routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Developing scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Proficiency in server administration (Linux, Windows).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash).
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Job Description:

• Assist in the regular monitoring of life support systems to ensure meet the client operational requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of life support equipment.
• Record operational data and performance metrics to ensure the systems are functioning optimally.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults or malfunctions in life support systems and components.
• Assist senior engineers in resolving technical issues and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system status reports, and troubleshooting logs.
• Assist in preparing reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Support the planning and implementation of upgrades or modifications to life support systems.
• Assist in testing new equipment or software integrated into the systems to improve efficiency or safety.
• Provide technical assistance during the installation and commissioning of new life support systems.
• Help manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and equipment required for system maintenance.

1. Co-ordinate site works, workflows and inspections with main contractors’ site representatives including attending site-co-ordination meetings.
2. Strong manages a team of supervisors, workers, subcontractors and vendors to execute works within given timeframe.
3. Strict monitoring work progresses, qualities, productivities and materials usages and ensure those items meet the targeted schedule, qualities, productivities and within quantities.
4. Enforce and monitor all supervisors, workers and subcontractors abide to safety, health and environment rules and regulations.
5. Able to resolve site issues with supervisors, main contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and any related third parties.
6. Responsible to prepare shop drawings, "AS-BUILT” drawings and Materials Bill of Quantities required for the project.
7. Implementation, good planning and monitor weekly works activities with a team of supervisors in accordance to the master schedule.
8. Implementation of Testing & Commissioning plan.
9. Responsible to keep track, monitor and ensure timely submission of all shop drawings, materials and “AS-BUILT” drawings.
10. To co-ordinate with main contractors and third parties on Combined Services Drawing (CSD) and resolve any clashes prior to construction.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / ITC Certificate in related trades with 3 – 5 years experiences.
• Entry Level candidates with Degree qualification may apply.
• Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) Course and any other WSH related certificates.
• MEP design experiences will be advantage.
• Must be a team player with perseverance, diligent and with initiatives.

· Report to Project Director / Project Manager.

· Attend site visit and prepare cost estimation.

· Co-ordinating and follow up all the individual respective project team like Civil, E&I, Scaffolding, Automation, Passivation, Safety, Lifting and others.

· As a Controls Engineer you should perform a vital role in designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations.

· Draft tender documents and cost estimation spreadsheet.

· Design layouts, materials and information flow, or machine placement.

· You should responsible to evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements new or existing systems.

· Present final figures and unit rates to management.

· Submit tender documents and attend clarification meeting (if requested by client).

· Attend project/ safety meeting with client/sub-contractor/internal and prepare minutes of meeting.

· Prepare overall construction detail schedule for the project.

· Plan, coordinate and execute the job to meet the schedule and quality requirements.

· Prepare / review of project specification, P&ID and material take-off.

· Handling all technical queries and investigating all work-related problems and coordinating with client/sub-contractor/supplier to clarify the problems.

· Ensure the Safety, Productivity and Quality of the project.

· Prepare Method of Statement (MOS), Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Project Schedule and other working procedures.

· Ensure the installation / erection works meets the specification and requirements.

· Liaise with QA/QC personnel and ensure all the works comply with the requirements.

· To carry out inspecting and rectifying any unsafe practices and unsafe place of work.

· You will oversee the safety and job/ project operation.

· Prepare weekly / monthly progress reports/ safety reports/ manpower reports etc.

· You are to direct, guide and manage all tasks under your charge and ensure it is carried out in the most creative, efficient and professional manner to the best of your ability.

· You shall ensure, uphold and comply with all office standards, local by-laws and regulatory requirements.
