Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, you will support the external communications planning for campaigns and initiatives, as well as support the Communications Lead in ongoing Public Relations (PR) efforts, including but not withstanding, coordinating media interviews, drafting of interview responses, and identifying and drafting thought leadership articles.
You will also support cross-functional teams to ensure all communications align with our brand's voice and strategic objectives, driving consistent messaging across all channels. Other miscellaneous work on copywriting and proofreading assignments may also be assigned.
Day to Day Activities
- External Communications: You will be an advocate of our GetGo narratives and work with our Campaign team to develop communications plan for campaigns and initiatives, including working with respective channel owners to recommend and review contents across all touch points, to ensure that they are coherent, impactful, and drives positive audience engagement and perception of our brand.
- External Communications: You are an excellent communicator and appreciate how communications can influence perception of GetGo as a brand across the different touchpoints. You will work closely with different department stakeholders to review their communication materials, ensuring the consistency in the tone-of-voice and key message narratives, and provide guidance where necessary for the different department stakeholders to align their team’s communication needs.
- External Communications: You will work alongside team members to plan and implement multi-touch point communications campaigns and initiatives, including working with cross-functional teams to review contents across all touchpoints (marketing materials, GetGo app, emails) to ensure that they are coherent, impactful, and drives positive audience engagement and perception of our brand.
- External Communications: You appreciate how performance data can help to strengthen narratives of your writing assignments and leverage analytics to make data-driven decisions and proactively suggest improvements to meet our business goals.
- External Communications: You are a passionate wordsmith and will support the curation of editorial contents and copywriting and proofreading assignments as assigned.
- External Communications: You are a self-starter with a growth mindset and actively consider emerging new points, social trends and topics, and how we can curate contents across the different communication touchpoints that will interest our readers and promote engagement.
- Public relations (PR): You are a budding PR strategist and will manage media relations and further GetGo’s narratives, including coordinating media interviews, drafting of interview responses, identifying and drafting thought leadership articles, and coordinating any press/partner visits where necessary. You will also prepare PR materials, including press kits, speeches, and briefing documents for GetGo team members.
- Public relations (PR): You will be the eyes and ears of the GetGo brand and actively monitor and analyse media coverage and public sentiment across traditional and digital media-platforms and modern news platforms to gauge public perception. You will actively identify emerging issues or trends that may impact the company and use these insights to inform and improve our communication strategies.
- Public relations (PR): You will support the development, management, and execution of our crisis communication efforts, playing a critical role in ensuring readiness and resilience in managing communications during critical events and protecting the reputation of GetGo.
Who We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, or a closely related field
- Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a communications related role
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexibility to work effectively in a rapid-growth startup environment
- Conceptual thinker who can translate ideas into communication solutions
- Prior experience in PR, managing media interview requests, thought leadership op-eds as well as crisis communications
- Established media contacts in the tech and mobility-related space is a plus
- Understanding of SEO, WordPress and other digital marketing tools and practices is a plus
