The Director of Marketing and Communications, Asia Pacific (AP) is an integral part of the AP resource mobilization and engagement leadership team and global marketing and communications function. They are instrumental in advancing TNC’s 2030 goals through communications that engage and excite influential audiences. Working closely with TNC leaders, they will lead a diverse and enthusiastic marketing and communications team across multiple locations in the region to develop and implement strategies that align with the overall goals of TNC Asia Pacific’s strategic plan.

The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific develops and implements an integrated, efficient, and effective marketing and communications strategy to help achieve the organization’s 2030 goals. They operate within a highly matrixed structure, coordinating with country, regional and global TNC teams to ensure that marketing and communications efforts are strategically aligned across diverse geographical and cultural landscapes. The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific works closely with and manages relations with internal key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, donors, and external key stakeholders and partners to achieve regional goals. They may be responsible for presenting analysis and recommendations to Trustees and AP Council members.

The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific leads communication and marketing efforts for both internal and external audiences, including integrated themes, consistent messaging, compelling campaigns, and collateral materials. Duties include:

• Designs, directs, and manages a coordinated marketing and communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing multiple complex and diverse programs or projects—including but not limited to strategic brand development, digital marketing, earned and social media strategy, events strategy, executive thought leadership and crisis communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

AP & Global Collaboration:

· Collaborate with TNC leaders, internal and external key stakeholders, including executive leadership and internal teams, donors, and volunteers to achieve regional goals.

· Work closely with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in the AP market.

· Provide strategic leadership in managing a decentralized but integrated marketing and communications structure across the Asia Pacific region.

Regional Team Management:

Role Overview:

The Marketing Communications (Marcom) Manager will play a pivotal role in planning and executing media strategies with industry media, enhancing visitor experiences, and developing high-quality marketing content. This role requires strong writing skills, the ability to conceptualise engaging content for marketing collaterals and press releases, and effective bilingual communication in English and Mandarin.

The ideal candidate will also oversee the visitor journey, ensuring seamless experiences from visa facilitation to onsite hospitality and badge registration services.

Reporting to the Head of Marcom, the candidate is expected to fulfil the following key responsibilities:

A) Media Planning & Strategic Communications

1. Develop and execute comprehensive media plans in collaboration with industry media partners to maximise event visibility.

2. Manage relationships with key media outlets and industry publications to ensure extensive coverage for ITMA and ITMA Asia exhibitions.

B) Content Development

E) Team & Budget Management

1. Performance and day-to-day operational management of team member.

3. Source and coordinate with external industry experts and identify new experts for writing articles in specific area of specialty when required.

Qualifications:

1) Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing communications, or equivalent.

· Additional certifications in public relations, media planning, or event marketing would be advantageous.

2) Work Experience

· 4 years in marketing communications, public relations, or event marketing, preferably in B2B exhibitions, or large-scale events.

· Proven experience in media planning, press releases, and integrated marketing campaigns.

Our client is a Manufacturing MNC. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Public Relations and Communications Manager to be part of their Marketing Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Duties of Public Relations and Communications Manager:

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies to enhance brand reputation, align with company values, and manage crises effectively.
• Establish and enforce communication policies and processes for consistent messaging across all levels and platforms.
• Lead media relations, press releases, and public relations efforts to strengthen the company’s public profile.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and customers, to support business objectives.
• Manage internal communication initiatives to engage employees, promote company culture, and drive cohesive messaging.
• Translate corporate objectives into effective communication strategies for internal and external audiences.
• Plan and execute impactful CSR initiatives, including volunteering events and ESG-related projects, to reinforce the company’s commitment to social causes.
• Liaise with government authorities to secure permits, funding, and approvals while building strategic partnerships.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, providing insights and reports to senior management.
• Act as a key representative in corporate events, employee engagements, and public initiatives to enhance the company’s visibility and outreach.

Requirements:

• Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
• At least 8 years of work experience in relevant field.
• Experience with Public Speaking / Events / Emcee is an added advantage
