Regulatory Affairs helps the company innovate responsibly and comply with laws around the world. We partner with teams across Global Affairs, Product Areas, and the rest of the company to ensure constructive engagement with governments and regulators while mitigating risk.
As a Program Manager you will join a Global team addressing the most significant and emerging risks pertaining to how you manage, support, and respond to audits required by various regulatory bodies. You will work closely with Regulatory Affairs leads as well as Google and Alphabet’s Legal, Compliance, Investigation, Communications, and Engineering teams to manage programs and projects that help identify, plan for, solve and help the company adapt to Alphabet’s most significant risks.

Job responsibilities
- Coordinate, manage, and facilitate a portfolio of regulatory programs. Manage end-to-end, the design of compliance program(s) via cross-functional collaboration with product and legal stakeholders.
- Understand regulations to advise on the design of compliance strategy, conduct current state assessments, analyze capabilities for goals state solution, develop compliance artifacts (e.g., risk and control matrix, policies, etc.).
- Lead a portfolio of regulatory audits conducted by third-party external auditors or regulators for Alphabet including technical audits involving Application Security Testing, Code reviews, Information, and Security controls reviews. Own the end-to-end lifecycle including development of governance and processes.
- Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company regarding the status of new and emerging regulations.
- Ensure end-to-end Program Management aspects are built and maintained for the portfolio of regulatory obligations.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program or project management.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership role
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with projects or programs involving regulatory and reputational risk.
- Experience in driving the development of best practices, including the development of policies, processes, and training.
- Experience working on information security compliance programs and audits, particularly audits involving technical code reviews, application security testing.
- Experience with designing and operationalizing regulatory compliance programs for new and emerging regulations.
- Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet the highest standards of integrity.
