The Manager, Marketing & Communications is part of the Sales & Marketing Team in the hotel. He or she manages the marketing communications function to ensure the brand image of the hotel property is upheld and achieves maximum awareness for the hotel, through driving publicity and marketing to the target audiences. He or she will report directly to the General Manager.
Job Responsibilities
The duties include the following:
- Oversee the planning, development and implementationof all marketing strategies and activities of the Hotel and F&B programming, to uphold image and brand positioning within the marketplace and the general public
- Manages the advertising, promotions, public relations, partner and channel marketing, loyalty marketing, campaign management, digital and new media development, social media engagement, F&B and events management
- Manage the budget of the hotel’s marketing and programmes, monitor progress, ensure adherence and evaluate performance to meet financial objectives
- Ensure the consistent communication of image and brand position throughout the hotels, and within the marketplace and the general public
- Develop key performance objectives to track, review and measure the success of the hotel’s marketing, communications and public relations programmes
- Review regular activity reports and ensure that targets and objectives are tracked and met
- Engage media for publicity and awareness for hotel and the Food and Beverage programming
- To provide counsel to the General Manager on marketing, communications, and public relations, and work in conjunction, where applicable, with the Singapore Cluster Marketing Team and Corporate HQ Brand and Marketing Department
- Host media, coordinate media itinerary, prepare media response, conduct sustainable hotel tours, maintain media relations, maintain media database and develop newsworthy stories
- Manage the hotel and F&B social media calendar, social media pages, develop daily and/or weekly content, and identify promotional offers that require boosting of ads. This includes working with key stakeholders from the Singapore and HQ Corporate Marketing Teams
- Website content creation and updates
- Implement digital marketing activities across a broad range of digital marketing channels (ie; SEO, SEM, Email, Mobile, Display)
- Oversee filming and photoshoot activities throughout the property
