Roles & Responsibilities
1.Accounts receivables management.
• Ensure all invoices are processed/issued in accordance with Company’s policies and procedures.
• Input of AR invoices into accounting system.
• Ensure AR is promptly received and in accordance with credit policies.
2. Accounts payables management.
• Prepare expense/payment documentations for management approvals.
• Process staff claims in accordance with Company’s policies.
• Ensure all requests for payments are properly authorised and supported by relevant documentations.
• Input supplier invoices, debit and/or credit notes into accounting system
• Ensure prompt payments to legitimate creditors/vendors.
• Reconciliation of suppliers’ statement of accounts and follow up on discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records of approved vendors and vendor codes in accounting system.
3. Liaise with Group companies to account for related party transactions, e.g. services, intra-Group loans, reimbursements, allocated expenses, etc.
4. Input expatriate salary and related expenses into accounting system and ensure prompt payment.
5. Maintain/account for leases per requirements of “FRS 116 Leasing”.
6. Maintain/account for Fixed Assets (PPE) records and input relevant depreciation expenses.
7. Prepare documents for bank remittances to local and overseas recipients.
8. Handle Quarterly GST reporting and GST receivables/payables.
9. Monthly/Quarterly closing of accounts, bank reconciliation and management reporting.
10. Assist in preparing accounts schedules for purpose of audit/review by auditors.
11. Assist in preparing tax schedules to facilitate Tax Computations by manager/tax agents.
12. Other ad hoc duties.
Job Specifications/Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting, or other accounting professional qualifications like ACCA FIA Applied Skills level (ACCA level 2 under old scheme).
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an accounting position, experience with Full Set preferred.
- Knowledge/experience in Singapore taxation would be highly appreciated.
- Hands-on experience in using MS Word/Excel and accounting information systems (experience with SunSystems is a bonus, training will be provided).
- Meticulous, positive work attitude, willing to learn, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proactive, able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.
- Japanese language skills and knowledge would be a plus.
