Primary Relationships
The position reports to the Assistant Marketing Director. The Chief Commercial Officer of V3 Gourmet is also involved in decision making when it comes to global investments with high importance.
Within the organisation, this position will conceive strategies to be implemented by the digital sales, marketing and social media teams and has primary working relationships with the PR, Marketing, Social Media, Operations, IT and Warehouse teams, as well as staff with similar positions within partner and franchise organisations.
Outside the organisation, the position coordinates primarily with vendors and service providers (IT developers, payment portals, etc.) as well as customers from online and social media platforms.
eCommerce Strategy and Operations
- Lead the Bacha Coffee HQ digital team and advise teams within franchises and subsidiaries.
- Create an annual digital marketing calendar in conjunction with the Bacha Coffee global marketing & communications team and oversee the translation of this vision into a coherent digital strategy across all Bacha Coffee digital platforms.
- Perform detailed research into luxury brands across multiple markets and structure, support with research, analysis, and reporting related to digital, such as market research, target segmentation, and brand strategy and present recommendations to management.
- Identify how to solve problems and increase business activity using digital solutions across departments, including corporate sales, retail and F&B.
- Stay up to date and advise management on new technologies to ensure Bacha Coffee always offers the very best user experience. Identify opportunities for Bacha Coffee to use digital technology to enhance the overall marketing mix: product, price, place, or promotion. De-construct competitive best practices and create benchmarks.
- Conduct training sessions for partner and franchise organisations, developing high-quality, best-in-class educational materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure alignment with company goals and standards.
Website Management
- Direct the optimisation of eCommerce content and design to match brand guidelines and improve user experience, performance and conversion optimisation.
- Oversee the planning and coordination with HR and Warehouse in the planning and execution of eCommerce and online marketplace fulfilment.
- Lead and collaborate with teams on digital merchandising, campaign planning and activation on the brand website.
- Oversee vendor and supplier relationships, conduct briefing sessions, negotiate terms, evaluate proposals and contract terms, sign off on projects in conjunction with company management.
- Constantly assess and re-evaluate in-house and outsourced teams and third parties involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of all Bacha Coffee digital platforms to ensure optimal performance at all times.
- Define global digital architecture detailing what sites the brand will maintain around the world in various versions and languages and conduct asset audits to map a brand’s global web presence and assess the effectiveness of each asset.
Marketplace Management:
- Lead strategy and operations for Bacha Coffee’s global marketplaces.
- Lead and collaborate with teams on digital merchandising, campaign planning and activation on the brand website.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate product availability and timely shipments.
Performance Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Develop media strategies and plan for activation across paid channels to drive traffic to BachaCoffee.com, drive conversions, increase customer base and promote active engagement.
- Maintain agency relationships to ensure that the right growth strategies for BachaCoffee.com are implemented through paid channels.
- Conducting keyword research and analysis to optimise paid campaigns.
- Oversee implementation of SEO strategies to ensure Bacha Coffee online platforms perform well organically and rank highest in key categories.
Customer Service
- Oversee customer service department engagement with customers to ensure care is taken to uphold the best standards of service including response time, quality of replies, follow up, etc.
- Investigate customer behaviour and consider improved content, eCommerce journeys, and direct marketing initiatives to increase customer satisfaction, engagement and commercial opportunities.
- Constantly explore new manners to engage with customers, whether through CRM, software innovations or exceptional luxury experiences.
Communication, Reporting & Budgeting
- Lead the Bacha Coffee HQ digital and customer service teams and oversee the performance of the same teams within Bacha Coffee franchises and subsidiaries.
- Cultivate a clear and transparent line of communications with management.
- Develop annual budgets/plans for the department and its activities, monitoring progress, assuring adherence, ensuring that objectives are reached, and evaluating performance.
- Compile and present monthly/annual digital performance reports to management and board.
Qualifications
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in a strategic eCommerce role.
- Experience dealing with local and international markets and customers.
- Mastery of basic digital marketing principles, such as target segmentation, category, value proposition, positioning, and brand strategy.
- Have strong analytics skills and problem-solving capabilities, with an understanding of E-Commerce specific metrics – CPA, CR%, CTR, ROAS etc.
- Knowledge of key acquisition platforms for Search, Display, Social (Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.) and Analytics (Google Analytics, Tag Management Systems)
- Knowledge of basic CRM and CMS environments and features.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and social platforms.
- Knowledge of website design, html, search and social advertising, URL architecting, programmatic advertising, email marketing, and e-commerce.
- Fluent English and strong writing skills.
- Presentation skills and previous experience in the luxury industry would be a plus.
- Completion of Google Analytics Certification is a must
- Completion of Google Adwords and Meta Advertising certifications is a plus
- Work experience in an agency is a plus
- Positive character who is able to pivot across multiple tasks
