As part of the Global Compliance team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, the successful candidate shall play a key role in assisting Conyers licensable businesses meet and comply with the related Acts, Regulations and Guidelines applicable to their businesses, including those related to anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing (AML/ ATF) controls across multiple offshore jurisdictions, professional services and risk management. He/she will ensure that all aspects of the overall AML/ ATF and compliance programmes are carried out in line with Conyers global policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will assist the Compliance team in all matters relating to AML/ ATF and Sanctions in regard to on-boarding and ongoing monitoring, including transactional activity in support of Conyers customer due diligence (CDD) and risk management framework. What Will You Do

• Assist with periodic compliance reviews
• Respond to internal queries providing guidance and advice on matters relating to Know Your Customer (KYC) and CDD for new and existing customers, and general AML/ ATF activities for customers across all levels of risk

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Degree/diploma in a related Science or Engineering discipline
• Extensive experience in quality assurance, preferably in a regulated environment would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, CAP, and ISO 9001 standards would be an advantage.
• Good verbal communication, interpersonal and team skills.
• Results oriented, with a high level of integrity and dependability.
• Prior knowledge in qPCR, molecular diagnostics, and next generation sequencing, technology and techniques would be an advantage.

This opportunity is for an experienced compliance specialist/Big 4 Auditor to join their existing team in Singapore.

The Role

• This role requires an individual self-starter contributor, a strong ability to develop and strengthen relevant compliance frameworks, tools and techniques to promote a good functioning culture of compliance within the organisation.
• Identify and facilitate compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations, particularly the Securities & Futures Act. This includes compliance risk assessment, compliance training, compliance reviews (incorporating staff dealing controls) and self-assessments.
• Participate in constructive and effective relationships with regulators.
• Provide compliance advice to business and support units in the organisation for complex initiatives with significant regulatory implications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting or Finance-related discipline with at least 3 years’ experience in financial regulatory work. External Auditor, Assurance specialist are encourage to apply. Professional compliance qualifications are a plus.

• Good analytical and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritise, work calmly under pressure to meet tight timescales
