The successful incumbent will Assistant Director, Operations / Lead Reintegration Mentor in ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations at Selarang Halfway House (SHWH) or future new site at Cosford and is responsible for the safety and welfare of the residents and the overall security of the Halfway House premises. They will work closely with the SHWH Case Managers to aid residents with their reintegration back to society.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee security screening to ensure contrabands are not brought into the house.

2. Facilitate the daily operational routine of SHWH or future new site:

a) Ensure the day-to-day needs of the residents and operational requirements of the halfway house are being met.

b) Facilitate the process of residents checking in and out of the halfway house on a daily basis and provide daily updates on the headcount and other activities/incidents (if any) throughout the tour of duty. Any unusual movements should be highlighted and reported to the relevant parties.

c) To ensure that there is seamless transition during the handing and taking over of shift duties. The jobholder is also responsible in ensuring that all outstanding matters have been clearly communicated to the next duty personnel and are promptly followed up with.

d) Provide logistical support to residents during their stay in SHWH or future new site. To assist occasionally with carrying & moving of bulky/heavy items.

e) Conduct patrols and searches in the SHWH Living Units to ensure the safety of residents.

3. Work closely with Case Managers in the case management of residents, including monitoring and maintaining proper records on the progress, movement, and other relevant information pertaining to the residents.

4. Assist in handling any grievance procedure and carrying out preliminary investigation of incidents and/or disciplinary issues (when assigned).

5. Identify any defect(s) or work(s) to be carried out pertaining to the halfway house’s estate management issues during daily tour of duty and to feedback to Singapore Prison Service Corporate Services Team for follow up.

• Lead and execute security projects across various domains, including endpoint, network, and application security.
• Implement and manage security tools, such as Web Proxy, Endpoint Protection, Email Security, and Vulnerability Scanners.
• Assess system security through threat modeling and propose effective solutions.
• Explore and integrate emerging security technologies to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of cloud environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5 years experience in IT Security, with deep expertise in one or more security domains.
• 3 years hands-on experience in end-to-end IT security projects or project delivery.
• Familiarity with security tools and frameworks.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security, etc.) are highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud security is an added advantage.

Job Description:

• In Charge of managing a group of Project Engineers to deliver specified projects within agreed parameters.
• Responsible for the projects for security equipment installation, testing, commissioning and system programming in accordance to required standards.
• Work closely with cross divisional teams to develop business cases and other project documentation for projects being managed as part of the company direction.
• In charge of implementing and enforced best-practice project methodology and processes to the team, with the objective of better management and implementation of projects.
• Responsible for managing the project spend within approved budget and relationships across all business lines and with external parties, defining requirements, agreeing terms and ensuring delivery
• Taking charge of identify and raising risks and issues affecting the project, including financial or operation and proactively managing them or escalating to relevant parties where necessary
• Provide support and adhere to the execution and delivery as per the project management methodology, standards and processes as set up by the department

Job Requirements:

• Min diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Min 8 years working experience in security systems such as Integrated Security Management Systems, Card Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems and CCTV systems
• Min 3 years of experience in managing a team
