• Takes a lead in preparing schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules. 
• Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialities. 
• Review and assess the work sequences with the total project plan. 
• Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or specialities. 
• Reviews and approves invoice verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules, as required. 
• Determines critical-path activities for assigned disciplines or specialties, identifies significant activities supporting inter-disciplinary requirements, and identifies critical paths for discipline or specialty work activities.
• Identifies, analyses and monitors schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations. 
• Develops and writes the schedule commentary in the monthly progress and similar reports. Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule. 
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead Planner-Scheduler.

We seek an individual with technical lifting experience for the position of Lifting Supervisor at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will work directly with the Construction Manager and the subcontractors throughout the construction phase of the largest multistory data centre in Asia (The Project). 

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating site-related works with the lifting subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest compliance with the contract documents.  This role is focused on working in the field and will report directly to the Construction Manager. This candidate should understand all aspects of construction in relation to executing work on-site.  

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with previous experience working as a Lifting Supervisor on data center projects and or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating in the field with contractors during the installation of all aspects of the project superstructure. The candidate must have robust Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, and subcontractors of all tiers and vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability. 

Responsibilities:

• Represent Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity, and truth

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, structural systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedule

• Coordinate with on-site Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) and Resident Engineers (REs) for all required inspections and work verification
• Develop look-ahead schedules and assist the Construction managers in long-range planning
• Facilitate problem-solving, as may arise, between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, lifting and CSA subcontractors during construction
• Work closely with Fortis and Subcontractor Construction Managers to lead logistics of all lifting operations.
• Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client-provided equipment
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting activities in the project.
• To organize, co-ordinate, control and lead to ensure that all lifting activities are carried out safely and in-line with the quality requirement within the specified schedule on site
• To ensure the safety lifting regulations and requirements are being complied on-site Including review of lifting plans and rigging
• Provide technical advice on matters pertaining to primarily heavy transport and rigging/lifting operations, management of change, deviations and / or non-compliances.
•  Monitor subcontractors’ transportation and lifting method statements to ensure compliance with Project requirements.
• Ensure subcontractors’ lifting activities comply with the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment codes, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure that the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operation to be performed
• Work with engineers, construction managers to derive or review critical lifting plans
• To review all lifting plans before execution
• Facilitate specific trainings and briefing together with the HSE department

We seek an individual with QA/QC experience in the electrical trades for the position of QA/QC Engineer for Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations. The candidate will assist with the QA/QC program throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data centre in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the candidate will ensure the implementation and compliance with the Quality Assurance System and the scope of work related to electrical items. 

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed and organized individual with extensive previous experience working as a QA/QC on large, international projects and deep knowledge of electrical systems. There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work in understanding and implementing the VDC QA/QC systems. The candidate must have excellent leadership and Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

The candidate will guide other team members they interact with and manage daily. The candidate will be expected to know the drawings and specifications and dig into the details to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute and share program evolutions and lessons learned with Fortis Construction, Inc. US operations QA/QC Managers
• Represent Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity, and truth

• Review approved electrical drawings and ensure compliance with the construction specifications
• Coordinate with Project Engineers for technical assistance, generating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Client-requested quality observations and project closeout
• Work together with the electrical contractors to properly document the quality process, tracking and final turnover
• Run the weekly QA/QC Meetings, drive open quality issues to closure, keep meeting minutes and document for future reference together with subcontractors
• Play a proactive role with field inspections, together with the subcontractors and the Client in developing pre-test plans before contractual testing and stay ahead of typically scheduled inspections with the authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Assist the contractor in the resolution of known issues and lessons learned from other sites
• Assist with onsite/remote BIM 360 Field training of new Trade Partners/site personnel (iPad and Desktop) and competency with BIM 360 Field to create issues, capture QA/QC-related issues, and create checklists.
• Identify issues and close them before punch walk and area substantial turnover date, by working with the Client and Trade Partner’s QA/QC team
• Establish a great relationship with the Client, Trade Partner and local AHJ
   

We are seeking an individual with HSE experience for the position of Health Safety Environmental Coordinator at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will be responsible for training workers on safety matters, identifying hazards at the workplace, inspecting equipment, enforcing safety policies, safeguarding inventory, and coordinating first aid training programs.

• Undertake appropriate HSE training required to fulfil your role.
• Take OWNERSHIP for safe outcomes. If you see something that is unsafe, SPEAK UP immediately, there and then.
• Report all incidents, injuries and near misses.
• Read all internal Health, Safety and Environmental correspondence or alerts and take action where appropriate.
• Support and ensure compliance with the Fortis HSE Vision and Core Values.
• Communicate and enforce the HSE policy and applicable HSE standards, procedures and safe work instructions.
• Provide technical expertise, skills and knowledge to ensure that the construction team are adequately supported to achieve best-in-class HSE performance and compliance with legislative requirements.
• Support Fortis’ Executive Management in the refinement of a robust HSE culture, and development, implementation and monitoring of the Fortis HSE management system
• Supervise works in accordance with the standards outlined in the Fortis HSE Management System and the Project HSE Plans.
• Be visible in leading environment, health and safety with contractors’ supervisors and workers.
• Assist in implementing the Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) process.
• Ensure all workers receive a project-specific induction before starting work on site.
• Ensure that all workers have been effectively inducted into their RA / SWP before commencing the work.
• Conduct daily HSE inspections of the site and take appropriate actions to rectify non-compliances identified in a timely manner.
• Undertake daily inspections of works requiring a Permit to Work and ensure permits are valid and requirements are being met.
• Review all high risk tasks in the field on a daily basis for compliance with the SWP. Where non compliances are identified, the works are to be stopped and corrective actions implemented.
• Ensure all project staff and contractors have the relevant training and competence for their task or role.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the HSE team.
• Ensure all plant and machinery are operated by trained and competent personnel only.
• Ensure all plant and equipment are inspected before use and on a monthly basis thereafter, and appropriately tagged.
• Ensure workers receive a daily pre-start HSE briefing prior to starting work every day / shift.
• Be actively involved in the daily pre-start HSE briefing process and ensure that appropriate information is being discussed and passed on to workers.
• Ensure all hazard observations, incidents, injuries and near misses are reported in BIM 360.
• Identify interface issues in the field and ensure that a plan is developed to ensure that works continue in a safe and coordinated manner.
