RESPONSIBILITIES (E.g. Job Scope) :

· Assist and support the Contracts Manager in contract / commercial administration including measurement and sourcing, purchasing, procurement, progress payment certification and/or variation order.

· To support and work with operation team to manage the subcontractors/suppliers to ensure site activities are on schedule and prompt payment to subcontractors/suppliers.

· Other QS duties as assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENT:

· Educational Level and the field of study: Tertiary Education in Quantity Surveying fields

· Type of experience required: Measurement, sourcing of suppliers, quotations.

· Amount of experience: 2 years related experience in building or civil engineering. Relevant tender work experience would be considered too.

RESPONSIBILITIES (E.g. Job Scope) :

• Lead QS team in overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts and tender processes from pre-tender to post tender.
• Support tender cost assessment and tender documents submission in compliance with Tender Instruction and the Specification / Requirement.
• Monitor tender and/or contract deliverables, timelines and obligations, ensuring adherence throughout the tender / project lifecycle.
• To assist Project Director and Head of Contract Division to review and finalize project costs, prepare project financial reports and contractual update to Senior Management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills in contract administration for Civil Work / Infrastructure projects.

REQUIREMENT (E.g. Qualifications, Certifications, Experience) :

· Educational Level and the field of study: Tertiary Education in Quantity Surveying fields or equivalent

· Type of experience required: Relevant skills in contract and commercial negotiation and drafting. Prefer relevant knowledge in infrastructure or underground tunnelling projects

· Amount of experience: At least 12 years’ experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects in managing commercial settlement / agreements. Good networking across construction industry and experience in both tender and post tender.

Responsibilities:

• Attend the Toolbox Meeting to explain daily tasks and coordinate work for Shimizu workers and subcontractors.
• Create a comprehensive schedule for the construction area.
• Prepare Method Statements and obtain necessary approvals from consultants.
• Collaborate with RSS teams to arrange inspections and prepare relevant inspection forms.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings to align activities with subcontractors and other areas.
• Report daily progress to the Quantity Surveyor
• Oversee CBP (Concrete Block Paving) construction, including temporary works.
• Manage RC (Reinforced Concrete) & Steel construction, ensuring temporary works are in place.
• Supervise finishing and external work construction, incorporating temporary works as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management is essential, demonstrating a solid understanding of project oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite is necessary for documentation, reporting, and scheduling tasks.
