• Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)

Criteria:

- Min 4 years of civil engineering experience

- Min 2 years of experience in various tunneling works

- Degree in Civil Engineering

- Accredited as a RE with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate

- Accredited as a RE(Tunnel) with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate

- comfortable with 56 hours work week

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on-site quality and safety issues
• Determine any non-conformances on works
• Liaise with the Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on-site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable timeframe
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggests quality improvement measures for implementation on site

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Civil & Structural engineering

• Experience in civil/structural/geotechnical design will be an advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to understand design basis and project requirements (HSSE, scope, schedule, quality requirements, client & class requirement and project execution philosophy). Incorporate the project requirements in the engineering design and deliverables.
• Issuance of deliverables within schedule and quality. Complete electrical engineering and FAT, SAT of assigned packages on time within project schedule. Support commissioning and operations.
• Work closely with Project Lead to plan, manage the deliverables as per project requirements.
• Issue the deliverables as per the project timeline and quality requirements.
• Identify areas of improvement. Innovate the new ideas and methodologies to improve project schedule/cost saving/quality.
• Ensure proper change management control, anticipate the technical issues, and take preventive action to mitigate the risk.
• Control scope/ schedule/cost and mitigate the cost escalation or schedule delays.
• Liaise with internal and external stake holders. Ensure alignment with the project requirements and deliverables are approved.
