The role is site-based, involving supervision of bricklaying tasks in outdoor conditions. The selected candidate will oversee the construction and repair of walls, partitions, arches, and other structures, ensuring all work is completed to project specifications. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards, managing a team of bricklayers, and coordinating with other site supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage a team of bricklayers to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Oversee and inspect the quality of bricklaying work to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and construction standards.
• Plan and allocate daily tasks to team members based on project schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers and other supervisors to ensure seamless workflow on-site.
• Provide guidance and training to workers to enhance skill levels and productivity.
• Monitor site progress and provide updates to upper management on a regular basis.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace safety and health regulations.
• Conduct site toolbox meetings to discuss work plans, safety measures, and daily objectives.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly to prevent project delays.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure proper usage by team members.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in bricklaying and construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations.
• Physical ability to work in outdoor environments and handle manual labor tasks when necessary.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, allocate, and monitor work progress effectively.
• Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment maintenance.
• Singapore driving license will be an advantage.
