The Construction General Manager oversees and manages all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, financial management, and maintaining compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight:Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
   Develop project timelines, schedules, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met.
   Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
   
2. Budget and Financial Management:Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
   Approve expenditures, manage contracts, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
   Address and resolve budget discrepancies and financial challenges.
   
3. Team Leadership:Supervise and lead project managers, site supervisors, and support staff.
   Recruit, train, and evaluate employees, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
   Resolve disputes and challenges between team members or stakeholders.
   
4. Client and Stakeholder Relations:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations are understood and met.
   Prepare regular progress reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
   Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
   
5. Compliance and Safety:Ensure all work adheres to building codes, legal regulations, and safety standards.
   Conduct site inspections and enforce strict safety protocols.
   Manage permits, licenses, and documentation required for projects.
   
6. Strategic Planning:Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
   Develop strategies for optimizing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
   Assess risks and implement contingency plans for unforeseen challenges.
   

· 1.Handle and manage Accounts Receivables Function.

· 2.Update and maintain accounting journals.

· 3.Daily entry of receipts into the accounting system.

· 4.Process staff expense claims.

· 5.Ensure entries are charged to the correct account codes.

· 6.Handle customer's queries on the daily financial transactional activities.

· 7.Ensure timely and accurate report submission.

· 8.Generate monthly accounts receivables report.

· 9.Assist Finance Manager in other areas of accounting whenever necessary.

· 10.Perform analysis of accounts, preparation of audit schedules etc

· 11.Perform other ad-hoc duties when necessary.

• Understand the project brief from designers/clients
• Developed designs and concepts based on the client's corporate identity
• Prepare construction, joinery and details drawings
• Prepare specifications for Furniture, Finishes and Equipment's
• Technical Drawing (AutoCAD): Space Planning & Construction Drawing
• At least 2 years of experience in Commercial Design

Job Description & Requirements

• Must able to manage the full set of accounts.
• Handle AP and AR activities including work in progress schedule
• Perform daily bookkeeping activities
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and financial accounting regulations
• Responsible for all statutory filings including financial statements preparation, yearly audit and the relevant tax compliance
• Monitor & update outstanding payments, collections and prepare bank reconciliations
• Handle payroll, GST, CPF, IR8A,Tax computation, Government survey, other statutory filings and month end reports
• Process payments to vendors
• Prepare information & documents required by the auditor, resolve audit queries, and obtain audit confirmations.
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties/task assigned

Requirements

• Proficient in Quickbook & Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Min Diploma or above in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling full sets of accounts.
• Team player and able to work independently that process good working attitude
• Self-motivated and an ability to take ownership of all tasks assigned
• Meticulous, organized, and good attention to details
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Experience in Construction Industry is an added advantage
