The purpose of this position is to support and manage the dredging vessels (Crewing, Vessel Operation and etc). The candidate will have experience in managing vessels in a shipping industry or other, excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with vessel and other team and keep the safe & smooth vessel operation together team members.
• Manage vessel in accordance with international regulations, local regulation/standard.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the vessel operation.
• Solve any trouble including accidents together team members.
• Conducts risk assessment; provides recommendations for mitigations of risk.
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the vessel management.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Navigation and/or Ocean Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experiences in ship management experiences or its related field
• Experience in managing complex dredging and coastal engineering projects.
• Experience in development of statements of qualifications and proposals.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Skill of Japanese speaking

Responsibilities

The Contracts/Commercial Manager is responsible for the overseeing commercial and contractual aspects related to the main contract and subcontracts, managing any commercial and contractual risk relating to the project and employ mitigation actions as quickly and effectively as possible.

• Review external providers (i.e vendors and subcontractors) terms of service and project deliverables.
• Provides contractual advisory from the commercial perspective to the project through all stages: construction, subcontracting, completion and hand-over,
• Provides support to the Quantity Surveyor team in the project, monitoring, reporting, planning and coordinating all aspects of their work.
• Proactively engages in continuous improvement and review of existing processes, systems and policies that may support the project’s contract management and administration.
• Advises on all contractual correspondence related to the project, considering commercial impact
• Identify, assess and manage / advise on contractual risk
• Manages contractual claims, disputes, settlements and resolution
• Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both verbally and in written notices eg. extension-of-time (EOT) , change order, etc.
• Possesses knowledge in construction/contract law & different standard forms of contracts eg. PSSCOC, SIA, LTA, REDAS, FIDIC, NEC, etc.
• Possesses leadership skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, thinks strategically and critically, exercising judgement after consideration for all aspects.
• Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills.
• (Is required to work both in Corporate office and/or at project sites.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management /Civil Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in contract negotiation, administrationand/or management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset,problem solving abilities, as well as keen interest and motivation in ahigh growth and entrepreneur environment

• Must be willing to relocate to Madagascar.

Job Description

Responsibilities

· Reporting to the Project Director/ Business Unit Head.

· Responsible for preparing project start-up and execution plan, as well as to define key project targets in terms of time, cost, quality, resources, EHS and contractual.

· Liaise effectively with client’s representatives and consultants in all project matters relating to authority, planning, contracts, construction and EHS, including reporting at regular meetings.

· Lead a team of professional and technical staff in planning and execution of day-to-day operations to achieve all key project targets

· Review master programme, define key project milestones and set pull-planning targets for project team to manage site progress and activities effectively.

· Liaise with and manage Subcontractors to deliver their respective performance targets in terms of time, cost, quality and safety.

· Implement and control project budgetary plans, as well as to manage contractual matters fully.

· Drive the implementation of innovative construction methodologies and practices on site to improve productivity and achieve lean outcome.

· Foster collaborative spirit between project team members, as well as commitment to achieving performance targets set.

· Assist the Business Unit Head or Project Director in tendering proposals to secure new projects.

Requirements:

· Degree in Building/ Civil or Electrical Engineering/ Construction Management or related.

· Minimum 8 years’ experience in project management and/ or site coordination works for building projects.

. BCCPE certificate would be an advance.

· Good all-rounded knowledge in construction management, planning capability and contractual matters; adopt lean mind set to cost and resource management.

· Able to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve good results in project delivery; strongly committed to accomplishing the established milestones and other deliverables.

· Proactive when solving issues and focused on strategic goals of the project.

· Proponent of lean principles, actively seeking to maximize value and minimize waste in processes and resource management; Believer of empirical data and measurement as basis of decision-making to improve efficiency and productivity.

· Applicants with prior relevant experience in residential projects will be preferred.
