Key Tasks and Duties

The day-to-day tasks of a Fiber Optic Technician may include:

• Reading and interpreting maps, blueprints, and diagrams necessary for fiber optic system installations.
• Splicing and terminating fiber optic cables to improve network performance.
• Using a variety of equipment such as power meters and OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers) to test the integrity and density of fiber optic cables.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all operations.
• Communicating with customers and clients to understand their fiber optic needs and ensuring customer satisfaction with the network solutions provided.

Job Description

• To provide lifting services at clients’ premises as per the deployment schedule and according to load chart and MOM’s requirements
• Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety.
• Performing routine maintenance.
• Cleaning and maintaining of Cabin.

Job Qualification

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in operating Crawler Crane or equivalent crane operator certification.
• Qualified crane operator with BCA and MOM recognised.
• Able to work Overtime or 2 rotating shifts (if required).

Responsibilities :

• Support the technical team and construction team for all design matters.
• Review all technical documentation and drawings of the Project works.
• Work closely with consultant on the scope of services, design and project deliverables to enhance site efficiency and constructability.
• Manage design approval process and coordination with the clients, consultants and subcontractors in a timely manner to resolve all technical issues.
• Ensure strict compliance of the design in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Identifies and highlight to management and project team of any potential risks or issues that will impact project performance.
• Support tender team and prepare technical tender documents as per specifications for bidding of civil and structural engineering projects as when assigned.

Requirements :

• PE Board Recognised Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of design management experience with at least 1 year of design experience in consultant firm.
• Strong coordination and collaboration with other disciplines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills .
• Good organization and time management skills.

* Familiar with evaluation of tender & quotation,preparation of tender & quotation

* Responsible for taking off measurement from site & progress claim

* Carry out Quantity take-off for tendering of project

* Ability to source for supplies and sub-contractors for quotation for tendering

* Evaluation and certificate of sub-contractors' progress payments

* Project administration and documentation include preparation of interim

* Review and advise the Project team on the cost impact for variation of project specification

* Site co-ordination and drawing verification where needed

* Monitor projects through completion, providing correction, modification or assistance to other

* Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• At least 3Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Assist WSHO in promotional activities, audit, meetings and execution of safety program
• Assist WSHO to establish, update, maintain and implement the safety management system onsite
• Identify potential hazards and unsafe work practices
• Create standards to reduce accidents and injuries
• Arrange daily work for safety workers and supervise a team of safety personnel

Requirements

• Advance certificate in WSH

• Actively conduct risk assessments at project site and recommend measures
• Monitoring and verifying that the Environmental Management Plan is always adhered
• Keeping records of all activities/incidents concerning the environment on site
• Work closely with different teams to implement and maintain a strong safety regime .
• Conduct toolbox meeting and ensure the permit to work system in place.
• Reporting to the WSH Manager, you will liaise closely with Project Managers on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety at the sites.
• Ability to lead and advise on safety programs.
• Review and maintain site's WSH records.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Safety, Health and Environment Management or other relevant subjects
• Registered as Workplace Safety & Health Officer and Environmental Control Officer with at least 3 years of post-registration and practical experience.
