Senior Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of the projects/site works and manpower related aspects of the project. The Resident Engineer shall be responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities provided by MPW under the LTSA, including but not limited to:• Collaborating with and supporting the technicalcommunications between the Customer, various MPWgroup resources (E.g. LTSA Program Manager, TechnicalAdvisors dispatched by MPW, Field Services, Engineering)and Local Vendors (E.g. Troubleshooting/ Failure Investigations

he Resident Engineer shall be responsible to lead and/or support the troubleshooting of a diverse range of problems that may occur during Plant operation, Planned or Unplanned Maintenance, with the support from the Singapore office and Service Engineering Head Office in Japan. Such activities may include but are not limited to:• Conducting fact-finding and communicating failure data betweenthe Customer and MPW• Investigating various operational problems on the Power Trainand Auxiliary systems, which involve analyzing operational,mechanical, instrumentation, control aspects, and suggestingnecessary actions to minimize operational risks.• Leading or supporting root cause analysis to determine theoriginal cause of failures that led to plant trips or unplannedmaintenance.• Investigating problems that may occur during maintenanceworks and be capable of providing solutions on urgent basis.• Summarizing findings and conclusions in clear, logical andeasily understood reports for external customers or internaldepartments.

Job Duties

• Reports to the Project Engineer.
• Carry out land and engineering surveys required for the construction projects, site boundaries or land titles.
• Carry out setting out of building grid lines before and during the construction stage.
• Surveys may include land use, housing and traffic patterns.
• Carry out routine building alignment survey during the course of the project.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying or relevant qualifications.
• 3 years’ experience in building surveying.
• Knowledge inpre-cast installation and verticality control is an advantage.
• Comfortable with full day 6 days work week.

Job Description:

• Responsible in operating micro tunnel boring machine (Pipe Jacking Machine) within varying ground conditions and according to provided tunnelling parameters. He is responsible for the safe, technical and economical operation of the pipe jacking machine, through the control room and to ensure the various projects are executed within the approved schedule and according to project parameters.
• Assist in the mobilization and de-mobilization of the pipe jacking operations for any site setup and ensure preventive maintenance of all equipment are performed appropriately.
• Undertake cutterhead and tool inspection during the drive, take charge of emergency situations within the TBM.
• Maintaining and producing operational reports and daily activity logs.
• Promote a safety culture; identify and communicate any and all working environment safety hazards.

Requirements:

• Minimum Mechanical and/or Civil education
• Minimum 2 years of specialized experience in handling Pipe Jacking Machines and/or micro-tunnelling experience.
• Relevant work experience in tunnelling/pipe jacking works and pipe laying works within Construction and/or Civil Engineering projects
• Experience in DB works and construction supervision of works of similar magnitude would be ideal for this position
• Demonstrated understanding of steering and control of micro-tunnelling/pipe jacking machine and ability to skilfully steer machine remotely below ground to the destination

· Preparation of tender documents and specifications for subcontractors

· Preparation of subcontract agreements, letter of award, work/purchase order etc

· Quantity measurement and preparation of progress claims and variation claims to Client and Consultants

· Evaluation of subcontractor’s progress claims, variation claim and recommend to team Manager for the interim payment certificates until final account settlement

· Monitoring of subcontractors’ work progress and schedule

· Liaise with Clients, Consultants for QS and contract related issues

. Other duties as assigned

· At least 3 years of relevant site experience in Singapore building projects

· Understanding of structural and architectural finishing works for building projects

· Understanding of PSSCOC

· Familiar with MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD etc

· Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision

. Experience in a project for more than one hundred million dollars as a main contractor is mandatory
