Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Risk, this will be an instrumental role in driving enhancements to the risk management framework working alongside with colleagues at the Group and BU levels.

Our ideal candidate would be able to i) assist the Group in driving its strategic and financial objectives of performance, value creation and resilience ii) improves transparency, accountability, stakeholder experience and iii) is active and effective. You will also partner the Group Strategy & Planning and Group ESG teams, to co-drive an integrated approach towards strategy, risk management and ESG, while also working closely with leaders across functions and business.

Job Description

• Implement and roll out Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the FPL Group, including local and overseas subsidiaries. Besides partnering Business Units (BU)/ Departments in their risk assessments, risk measurements and developing risk mitigation plans, incumbent is expected to proactively drive risk management implementation across different asset class, actively engaging and getting buy-ins from the BU Heads. The Incumbent is also expected to oversee the and Business Continuity Management programme of the Group.
• In charge of the overall implementation of an effective and efficient risk management programme, facilitate meaningful and insightful reporting from line management to the Group. Assist in conducting risk training / workshops; implement programme and trainings to raise the overall risk conscious culture for the Group.
• The Incumbent is expected to keep up to date the latest risk management issues and emerging trends and able to identify relevant risks that may impact the Group business.
• He/ She must demonstrate the ability to think conceptually while at the same time be attentive to details.
• The incumbent is expected to be versatile and to bring in risk management experience to the Group to enhance the overall risk management process and framework
• Financial knowledge is important as he/ she is to assist in the mapping of risk appetite/ risk tolerance, and other key risk indicators. Knowledge of risk input to investment assessment is preferred.

Key Qualification

• Degree in Accounting & Finance / Business
• At least 12-15 years of working experience in enterprise risk management
• Good knowledge of risk management and internal control concepts, leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO) and SGX-ST requirements.

As part of a finance team who contributes to the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of the new Real Estate development project, you will conduct the financial management, budget and cost control and forcasting of project development sector within the Group.

Responsibilities:

1.Establish project company’s financial management regulation, develop job responsibilities/scopes and related SOP

2. Daily bookkeeping and ensure accuracy and filing of files in a timely manner

3. Complete the financial statement and annual audit work

4. Manage consolidation and preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports, budgets and forecasts, cost control

Requirements:

1. Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy; CFA, ACCA, CPA and other qualifications are preferred

2. At least 3 years working experience in financial management of Real Estate development projects in Singapore, familiar with financing, taxation, cost control and other related to Real Estate development business

3. Familiar with Singapore's financial policies, corporate financial regulations, and procedures, and proficient in relevant financial and tax laws and regulations

4. Strong capabilities in capital management, cost control, risk control and financial analysis

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop a first-of-its kind AI-assisted integrated NDT verification system for reusability of structural steel with accuracy of ±10% at confidence level of 95%. The key innovation is to use AI to analyse a bigger data set and build a multi-parameter machine learning (ML) model that integrate the complex mechanical properties obtained from DT and the electric/magnetic permeability data obtained from NDT to predict the critical material characteristics of reusable steels.

  1. Establishing test result database: Conducting both DTs and NDTs on the same samples to create a comprehensive dataset for AI model development, managing data collection processes on-site at the collaborator’s factory, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the collected data.
  2. Developing statistical model: Utilizing DT results to develop statistical models for estimating mechanical characteristics based on normal distribution and analyzing statistical data to support model development.
  3. Developing and verifying the AI model: Developing various regression models and evaluate their feasibility and suitability, conducting model fitting and verification phases using training and test datasets and ensuring the selected model meets the accuracy criteria (±10% at 95% confidence) for individual mechanical characteristics and overall classification results (grade determination).
  4. Validation of the method: Implementing the proposed method and AI model in test bedding cases, measuring the impact of the method in terms of time and cost savings and developing implementation guidelines based on validation results.
• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
• Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
• Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports, proposals, and documentation.

Requirements

• Have relevant competence in the areas of structural engineering, material science, statistics and programming basics.
• Have a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of AI / ML and common ML programming languages will be advantageous.
