Assists Factory supervisor to handle all the welding work.

Job Description

• Prepare, maintain and manage tender documents of BOQ, tender clarifications and unit prices etc.
• Measure of quantities from drawings.
• Prepare tender documents to subcontractor / vendor for quotations.
• Manage tender administration and oversee project works.
• Evaluation of price comparison and costing summary.
• Other quantity surveying related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey/Architecture/lnterior Design or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Our client is a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider. Currently, they are currently seeking for Design Manager to be part of the team.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and skilled Design Manager with minimum of 15 years of civil engineering or architecture experience post-tertiary education and hold professional status. The candidate should have a proven track record of managing design teams on projects for large scale of Design & Build nature of industrial or treatment process plant. The Design Manager must be well-versed with regulatory agencies’ requirements and standards.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Lead and manage design Consultant teams to deliver high-quality design solutions on time and within budget.
• Oversee the entire design process, from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and engineers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on design-related matters.
• Conduct regular meetings and presentations to update clients on project progress and address any concerns.
• Ensure client requirements are accurately captured and reflected in the design.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of design.
• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct regular design audits and peer reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards and ensure designs are adapted accordingly.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise in civil engineering or architecture.
• Resolve complex design challenges and technical issues.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or architecture.
• Proven experience in managing design teams on complex projects.
• Experience in the design of multi-storey bus depots or similar structures is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) status.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Position : Project Manager (Construction / Interior Design/ Furniture Industry)
• Location : Toa Payoh Industrial (Bus stop nearby)
• Working hours : 5.5 days a week - Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm / Sat from 9am to 1pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Basic up to $5600 + $300 Transport Allowance if owns a vehicle + Performance Bonus + 14 Days Annual leave

Main Responsibilities:

• Planning/Controlling/Monitoring/Managing & Directing the assigned project resources to best meet project objective.
• Ensures all changes to specifications, work scopes, and drawings are properly documented.
• Efficient management of resources and materials
• Responsible for project and site supervision, attend site meetings, coordination with sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants and clients and all scope of work that is required in the smooth implementation of a successful project development.
• Assist in resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage material at the construction site to ensure zero wastage and no overstock of material.
• Manage manpower and overtime costs to ensure optimal cost-benefit within or below budget.
• Coordinate and communicate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min 3 years of relevant experiences in Interior Fit-out Industry
• Minimum higher NITEC / Diploma holders or candidates with relevant experience and proven track records will also be considered.
• Experience in Construction / Interior Design/ Furniture Industry will be an added advantage.
• Able to start work within short notice preferred.
