• Lead the site safety team to ensure comprehensive site safety management and performance.
• Develop, update, and implement the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Management System to effectively manage risks and prevent accidents.
• Investigate all on-site incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Review and revise risk assessments to ensure compliance with current safety standards.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of WSH regulations and ensure adherence to them.
• Enforce safety policies in line with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

• Drive the development of a strong safety culture within the company.
• Ensure the effectiveness of fire protection systems and the readiness of the Emergency Response Team for both office and factory environments.
• Promote safety awareness and healthy work conditions through training, campaigns, drills, and other activities.
• Liaise with statutory bodies on WSH licenses and permits, staying updated on changes to relevant regulations and requirements.
• Conduct fire safety and emergency preparedness training for employees.
• Provide regular updates to management on WSH performance and areas for continual improvement.
• Work closely with external security service providers to ensure the effectiveness of services rendered to the organization.
• Implement a continuous improvement process for the WSH management system to enhance safety practices.

Requirement:

• Registered as a WSH Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer.
• Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a Junior WSH Officer role.
• Relevant qualifications in Workplace Safety & Health or Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

1. Job scope

• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to specifications/drawings
• Inform the Project Director / Project Manager on any technical / site problems about M&E works;
• Supervise the progress of M&E works on site;
• Coordination of sub-contractor's M&E work and ensuring the work is on schedule.
• Work closely to the clients, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters
• Supervise and Coordinate M&E services work and work closely with other department staff to meet the project timelines

Duties And Responsibilities:

-To facilitate the hazard identification and risk management sessions.

-To prepare and submit risk assessments.

-To add new hazards that are identified, monitor and update the hazards in the register to ensure all hazards are mitigated and closed

-To attend the Safety Offcer Project Safety Committee Meetings and any other risk management meetings directed by the S.O.

-To develop the project risk management plan in alignment with the Client’s framework.

-To ensure common use of Sinohydro risk matrices and assessment tools.

-To develop and maintain the project risk register.

-To work with other project personnel responsible for implementation of specific risk (i.e. HSE, technical and cost/ schedule) management related activities to ensure work is conducted in accordance with project the risk management plan.

-To review risk register’s current controls for effectiveness.

-To participate in the monthly monitoring of the risk register with the Project Director and provision of the monthly project risk report.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

-Risk Management experience in Construction industry is a must.

-Experience in context of construction industry for water treatment plant is a plus.
