Work Conditions:

· Candidate will work both in a temperature-controlled office environment and in the field with exposure to varying degrees of weather conditions while visiting construction job sites and structures or doing field investigations/research.

· Must be physically, mentally and emotionally able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Design Team and optimize the design to reduce cost and construction schedule effectively.
• Identifying and resolving design, specifications, construction methodology, sequencing and maintenance issues, balancing contractual obligations, statutory requirements, site progress and product workmanship
• Working closely with various stakeholders e.g. Clients, Consultants, Authorities to ensure the timely resolution of any design related matters.
• Establishing and maintaining effective methods of communication between the teams involved in design work throughout the project

Requirements

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10-year experience in the construction industry
• Candidate with LTA project experience will be highly preferred.
• Proficient in technical knowledge of construction and material, familiar with rules and regulations of the relevant authorities.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans to determine the scope of work and required materials.
2. Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials accurately, using hand and power tools, to build or repair structures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
3. Install structures, including framing, walls, partitions, and roofing systems, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
4. Construct and install interior and exterior finishes, including trims, moldings, casings, doors, and windows for a polished and professional appearance.
5. Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure efficient project execution and resolve any construction issues or modifications.
6. Inspect structures to identify and correct any defects or deficiencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
7. Repair or replace damaged or worn-out wooden structures, fixtures, or furniture.
8. Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring their proper functionality and organization.
9. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and building codes to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Project Coordinator

Working Hours: Monday-Sunday, 6 days shift work 10.30am-7pm;

If work night shift next day will come late hours

Working Location: Site (Islandwide)

Office: Ang Mo Kio

Salary: $3,200-$4,000

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 year of relevant experience
• Familiar with building plans submission procedures and approvals
• With valid class 3 license will be an advantage

Job Scope:

• Able to manage projects independently
• Oversee project operations and liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers on project matters
• Ensure that project works are completed with respect to the scheduled dates
• Cost and quality control of projects
• Ensure that construction teams and sub-contractors adopt all necessary measures and comply with safety, environmental and other relevant legislation and requirements in the contract
