Primary roles

Key Activities

Site Supervision:

Budget and Cost Control:

Monitoring project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses, and ensuring adherence to the approved budget. You will work closely with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage change orders, and address any budget variances.

Communication and Reporting:

Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and clients. You will provide regular progress updates, prepare reports on project status, and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.

Risk Management:

Identifying and assessing potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This involves conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management plans, and addressing any unforeseen issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and contracts. You will also keep records of project milestones, change orders, and any other relevant documentation to ensure proper project documentation and compliance.

Team Leadership and Development:

Providing leadership and guidance to the construction site team, including subcontractors and workers. You will motivate and inspire the team, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, you may identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.

1. Serve as the technical expert for detailed design and construction aspects of the project
2. Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the internal team members, client, consulting engineers and contractors
3. Perform expediting actions in sourcing technical information, submission of data/method statement for installation, delivery and transport of materials/equipment, storage and issuance for site installation works
4. Prepare detailed installation plans, methodology, processes and procedures for support of construction team
5.Propose and oversee timelines for engineering proposals and submissions are met
6.Check and confirm the accuracy of submissions from contractors, vendors and suppliers for the work to be performed, coordinate and ensure approvals are received from client in timely manner

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil & Structural, Environmental or Process Control & Automation),
2. Master's degree in engineering management or logistic management will be plus
3. 10 to 15 years of engineering experience, ideally as a managerial / expediting role in process, energy, water or chemical plants construction or large-scale infrastructure design and construction projects locally
4. Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
5. Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a teamwork ethics
6. Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep project, processes, and the entire engineering tasks on track
7. Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
8. Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
