We are seeking an individual with architectural technical experience for the position of Mechanical Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations.  The candidate will work directly with the Mechanical Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the six-year design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for Mechanical Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on working with the Mechanical Project Manager who is managing the Mechanical Subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and filing of patent, trademark, and design applications, involving the collection and organization of pertinent information and documentation.
• Managing reporting and billing processes.
• Liaising with clients and official authorities to communicate application statuses and comply with requirements.
• Administering and updating records and files related to applications.
• Monitoring and managing reminders and deadlines to ensure timely actions.
• Offering administrative support to attorneys and the IP department at large.

Requirements:

• A diploma or higher qualification, preferably with experience in IP prosecution work. Candidates lacking the specified educational qualifications but possessing relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Attention to detail, superior organizational abilities, and a positive work ethic.

• Provide operational and engineering support to Marine Vessels
• Performs engineering analysis and documentation of vessel’s condition
• Manage vessel machinery performance and efficiency
• Provide engineering support to management in the repair, modification, and overhaul of vessels
• Coordinates with external engineering consultants and vendors
• Ensure proficiency in using and testing electronic equipment
• Conduct inspections of vessels to confirm adherence to safety regulations
• Provide engineering guidance in support of skilled mariners
• Train and operate the vessel’s firefighting system
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
