We are seeking an individual with structural technical experience for the position of Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) Site Supervisor at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations. The candidate will work directly with the Construction Managers and the subcontractors throughout the six-year construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the Construction Managers, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating site-related works with the Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) Subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents. This role is focused on working in the field and will report directly to the Construction Manager. This candidate should understand all aspects of construction in relation to executing work on-site.

It is expected that the candidate will be detail-oriented with previous experience working as a Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA) Site Supervisor on data center projects and/or other complex technical projects. • Responsible for Mechanical Equipment Engineering Execution Methods and Procedure, Mechanical Equipment Engineering Disciplines Co-ordination, Mechanical Equipment Engineering Deliverables delivery for Project Execution, Mechanical Equipment Man-hours Monitoring, Attending design review Meetings with Clients and Package vendors.
• Review & Checking of other Discipline Documents including vendor documents, GA drawings, Mechanical Equipment data sheets etc for consistency, quality and Design Integrity.
• Preparation, Monitoring and Control of Mechanical Equipment Engineering Document Control List and expedite for delay/ approvals/resolution of open issues.
• Review and ensure that all Mechanical Equipment works are carried out in accordance with project specification. Maintain Design integrity and quality within the Mechanical Equipment Engineering Team.
• Preparing Mechanical Equipment Engineering schedule and Mechanical Equipment Engineering Man hours estimation to meet project requirements.
• Co-ordinate with other Discipline for Mechanical Equipment Dept Inputs and ensure seamless Inter Discipline co-ordination between Mechanical Equipment Dept and other Discipline.
• Job assignments, Mentoring and Supervision of works for Mechanical Equipment Design Engineers.
• Participates in discipline and inter-discipline design check and screening meetings for compatibility, completeness, and correctness in works.
• Co-ordination with client, conducting meeting if required to speed up the client/consultant’s approval for above basic design drawings/documents. Supporting the procurement in evaluating the supplier’s quotations and placement of orders.
• Development of subordinates by leading them in detail engineering activities for project. Discussions with team members to make them understand the project specifications and issuance of deliverables/drawings as per agreed dates in EDCL to meet the project schedule.
• Preparation of complete detail Mechanical Equipment engineering schedule consisting of various stages such as IDC, IFA and IFC deliverables and documents related to procurement and to align it with project schedule.
• Discussions with vendors to freeze the final requirements as per specifications. Reviewing vendor drawings to ensure that they are in line with project specifications meeting all the technical requirements.
• Attending FAT for various Mechanical Equipments, Prepare FAT Check list and ensure that Mechanical Equipment’s are delivered to site as per Project specification.
• Implement HSE objectives, policy, and company HSE procedures within his authority limit.
• To integrate Risk-based thinking and HSE considerations into business decisions, plans and operations with the commitment to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
• To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects, and risks.

Requirements

• Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably to 15 years in Oil & Gas industry

Job Description

• Executes and completes the FPSO new built Hull project as per contractual specification and quality standard with agreed timeline and safely
• Enforces on HSE Focus IOGP/HIRA/GOLDEN Rule, Safety audit, Safety Campaigns and Drills. Weekly HSE walkthrough to focus on critical work area and carryout engagement of workforce on site.
• Oversees new build specifications, verifies designs, and ensures that the construction activities are complying to contract and engineering designs.
• Reviews construction progress against Project Schedule and report to the Hull delivery manager
• Ensures that all construction and installations to FPSO are performed according to project Quality control, NDE examiners, inspection, QA/QC document, report, and quality analysis.
• Ensures the new built hull is constructed according the latest revision of the issued drawings.
• Oversees hull fabrication and assembly works. To follow through the integration scope of work for module fabrication from overseas
• Ensures that the hull is commissioned as per project commissioning requirement
• Conducts daily/weekly/monthly meeting with shipyard (Builder), Client, Classification and etc
• Summarizes and issues minutes of Meeting, Presentation slide and reports (daily, weekly, and monthly)

Job Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine and Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
