Board’s Role

The Board’s role is to:

1. provide entrepreneurial leadership, and set strategic objectives, which should include appropriate focus on value creation, innovation and sustainability;
2. ensure that the necessary resources are in place for the company to meet its strategic objectives;
3. establish and maintain a sound risk management framework to effectively monitor and manage risks, and to achieve an appropriate balance between risks and company performance;
4. constructively challenge Management and review its performance;
5. instil an ethical corporate culture and ensure that the company’s values, standards, policies and practices are consistent with the culture; and
6. ensure transparency and accountability to key stakeholder groups.

Scope of Director Duties

Directors should be aware of their duties at law, which includes acting in good faith and the best interests of the company; exercising due care, skills and diligence; and avoiding conflicts of interest. Directors should also put in place policies, structures and mechanisms to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, establish appropriate tone-at-the-top, desired organisational culture and standards of ethical behaviour.

While the duties imposed by law are the same for all directors, a listed Board will generally have different classes of directors (executive, non-executive and independent directors) with different roles:

• Executive Directors (EDs) are usually members of senior management, and involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Executive directors are expected to:

1. provide insights on the company’s day-to-day operations, as appropriate;
2. provide Management’s views without undermining management accountability to the Board; and
3. collaborate closely with non-executive directors for the long term success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to work independently for taking-off quantity and pricing for tender

Job Description
• Manage in-house payroll process full cycle for all entities.
• Responsible for accurate and timely payroll computation and processing.
• Verify timesheets and process overtime calculations
• Handle tax clearance, monthly CPF submission, annual income tax filing and the submission of government paid-leave claims, NS claims, etc.
• Attend to staff queries on payroll related matters.
• Manage the annual manpower budget exercise, HR audit and prepare Group reporting.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors in bidding & post tenders
• Review /revise legal documents; correspondences; commercial agreements
• Suppor project teams in administering sub-contracts including progress payments, variation orders and contractual matters
• To evaluate and analyze sub-contractors’ pricings and award of sub contracts

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience with 6 years in contract and commercial management.
• Experience in project with contract value in excess of $40 million.

Job Description:

• Material Ordering and budget tracking on quantities for main materials (e.g. rebars, tiles).
• Measurement, payment response, and evaluation of VO for the subcontractor.
• Measurement and VO submission to Client / Consultants.
• Ensure meticulous assessment of costs for all VO works.
• Advising project team on contractual rights.
• Source for suppliers/subcontractors and generate quotation reports.

Account Executive

• Do full sets of Accounts & GST submission, and handle administrative task;
• Prepare monthly reports and financial statements;
• Liaise with company secretary, banker, auditor, tax agency and relevant authorities for company related matters;
• Ensure all expenses are entered in accounting system using Microsoft Excel and XERO;
• Prepare quotations for construction contracts

HR and Admin

• Handle all work pass applications, issuance, appeal, renewal, and cancellation;
• Manage payroll and CPF, taxation for employees;
• Prepare letters of employment, confirmation, other HR-related documents etc;
• To do any other ad-hoc assignment given by Management

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

Requirement:

• Possess Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role ideally with operations management experience
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety with extensive knowledge of the current suite of testing capabilities and proven ability to support and train staff members for the department in order to meet customers’ expectations on testing and possess strong technical leadership is vital to the production and operation of assigned tests with advanced working knowledge to operate various testing equipment

Job Description

· Responsible to deploy manpower for daily landscape maintenance duties and attend to urgent cases when necessary.

· Able to demonstrate the basic knowledge in Horticulture Maintenance such as proper pruning methods for shrubs and trees,daily maintenance duties which include watering, fertilizing, weeding, mulching, planting, plant removal etc, protect trees and plants from diseases and insect infestations and planting works.

• Work with Landscape Designer, Supervisor, Salesperson and Customer to review and install/implement Landscape projects, based on contract.

· Supervise crew on Landscape projects.

Requirements

· Required language(s): English, Chinese (in order to deal with complaints from Chinese speaking client on site)

· Dynamic and energetic

· Good team player with ability to lead and multi-task

· Committed to work

· Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Prefer candidates with horticulture or arborist knowledge

· On-the-job training provided

· Entry level candidates with the relevant Polytechnic / WSQ Diploma / Degree are welcomed
