Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Estimating project costs ahead of bidding for new contracts
- Negotiating with suppliers on the cost of materials, equipment and labour
- Checking the quality of suppliers
- Helping to plan each construction stage
- Drafting plans and blueprints using CAD (computer aided design) software
- Monitoring build progress
- Preparing sites before construction work begins
- Supervising contractor teams
- Working on a construction site or in an office.
Responsibilities:
*Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
*Familiarity with design software (eg. Autodesk, AutoCad Civil 3D, and MicroStation)
*Knowledge of map creation software and photo imaging software
*Strong Analytical and critical thinking skills with high level of accuracy in calculations and design
*Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude and pro-active
*Willing to work day and night
*To comply with the policies and procedures of the company.
*Long term commitment
*Possesses local Class 3 and/or Class 4 driving license an added advantage
