• Getting a quotation from sub-contractors & suppliers for each item according to specification in the document & drawing;
• Pricing items based on quotations and bill of quantities (BOQ) in the pricing documents for tender submission;
• Prepare for tender submission;
• Attend and prepare required documents for tender interview & presentation;
• Other duties required to finish the tender on time;
• Assist Contracts Manager to choose & award sub-contractor within a controlled budget;
• Assist Project Manager for material order control & balance budget

Job Requirements:

• Min. Degree in Building Construction;
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Singapore;
• HDB BTO experience a MUST;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Project, and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Reviews tender documents / requests for proposal to understand project details and requirements.
• Provides detailed and accurate quantity and component take-offs against the drawings as specified In the tender document
• Sourcing materials and send quotation inquiries to the vendors and subcontractors, comparison of quotes review of prices, to ensure comply to tender requirement
• Liaise and carry out evaluation and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents and raise queries for clarifications.
• Compile all documents required for submission.
• Reviews and interprets engineering documentation such as drawings/ specifications/ scope of works to fully understand the project requirements for detailed and accurate estimating.
• To provides timely clarifications for ongoing submission within the tender and request for proposal duration.
• Communicates and negotiates competitive rates with Suppliers and Sub-contractors.
• Responsible for tender cost estimation, comparison and the preliminary project cost for tender bids and tender summary for management review
• Lead the QS and responsible for tender cost estimation.
• Attend site visits & Tender interviews.
• Prepare and coordinate the tender interview agenda and presentation materials.
• Liaising with the project team for a smooth transition from tender to Post contract team for tenders awarded
• Coordinating various departments for preparation of project construction plans & schedules, staff, manpower & equipment deployments, site organization charts, and method statements and other requirements

Requirement:

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Building/ Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
• 4-5 years of working experience in Singapore
• (Optional) Experience in Singapore building construction industry with the Main contractor preferred
• Proficient in bluebeam and glodon will be a plus.

$4,500 - $6,500
