2. Tendering and Procurement

• Assist in preparing tender documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ) and pricing schedules.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for cost and compliance with specifications.
• Help negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors under the guidance of senior staff.

3. Contract Administration

• Support in preparing and administering construction contracts, including variation orders and claims.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of correspondence and contractual changes.

4. Measurement and Valuation

• Take measurements from drawings and on-site for preparing BOQs and payment applications.
• Assist in the valuation of work done for interim and final payment applications.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and variations for client and contractor approval.

5. Cost Monitoring and Control

• Monitor and report on project costs to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
• Assist in identifying and managing cost risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular cost updates to the project management team.

6. Financial Reporting

• Prepare periodic financial reports, including cost-value reconciliation (CVR) and cash flow forecasts.
• Maintain detailed records of project expenditures and income.
• Assist in preparing final accounts for projects.

7. Change Management

• Assist in assessing the financial impact of design changes and site instructions.
• Prepare documentation and pricing for variation orders.
• Help resolve disputes related to cost changes with contractors or clients.

8. Site Support

• Conduct site visits to verify completed work and ensure alignment with project plans.
• Assist in maintaining accurate site records for measurements and variations.
• Liaise with site engineers and supervisors to ensure cost and quality compliance.

9. Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all cost-related activities comply with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and market trends.
• Support in preparing reports for audits and compliance checks.

10. Professional Development

• Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated on the latest quantity surveying techniques, tools, and industry regulations.
• Actively seek guidance from senior quantity surveyors to improve expertise and accuracy in work.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Pre-contract and post contract administration including the following:
