Job Description

• Discipline package owner, assist in project planning and scheduling.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance to project requirements.
• Liaise with consultant for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors.
• Assist construction manager & quantity surveyor in project progress claim.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultant and suppliers and other project stakeholder.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Submit shop drawings and material samples for conformance with project specification and requirement.
• Monitor Health and Safety on projects to ensure safe working practices are carried out in accordance to local regulations.
• Check site progress and productivity, record and submit progress claims for certification and payment.
• Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree/Master in Civil & Engineering or equivalent, recognized universities under the BCA, possess quantity surveying skills is a plus.
• Min 5 years working experience in construction industry with major A/A works and ERSS/piling works.
• Experience in underpinning works and conservation building works will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Autocad, Common Data Environtment.
• Experience in working and coordination between design and construction teams.

（1）Understanding of Project Specifications, construction drawings and to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client’s requirements. Carry out Civil and Structural related detailed design, drawings, analysis and calculation required.

（2） Check and review all Civil and Structural related drawings and documentation received from Contractor or Client. Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to Consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays.

（3）Fully responsible for engineering evaluation, technical planning, method statement formulation, process monitoring, and retaining sufficient documentation and archival files for the project's foundation construction works to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

（4）Responsible for the structural analysis, design and authority submission to liaise with client or contractor. Possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for build-ability and safety assurance system

（5）Provide technical support and monitoring the construction progress, discuss with immediate Supervisor and give out solution on site issues.

（6）Prepare calculation and drawings for temporary or permanent structures in obtaining approval from authority.

（7）Responsible for demolition of basement/foundation, ERSS construction and all other design works.Monitor site works to ensure the method statements and work procedure are strictly followed.

（8）To manage & coordinate with the site supervisors (incl. RTO) with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and M&E engineering works

（9）Conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project, to ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records and approved /as-built drawings. Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by contractor to ensure compliance with designs and specifications.

（11）Can do drafting as assigned by immediate supervisor, inspection and other work assigned from time to time.

（2）Check and review all Architectural and Fit-out related drawings and documentation received from Contractor or Client. Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to Consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays.

（3） If project requires, make fit-out proposal, prepare shop drawing or detailed drawings, ensure that the proposals are beautiful, economical, practical and feasible, obtain approval from the owner or architect for on-site execution, provide guidance and supervision in process to ensure implementation.

（4）To manage projects by supervising and coordinating the site activities. Coordinate daily manpower allocation, ensure work activities are conducted properly, in accordance to construction / shop drawings.

（5）Monitoring of work progress, attending project meetings, liaising with clients and consultants.

（6） Assist project HQ in carrying out all shop drawings and method statements submission.

（7）Ensures the timely preparation of project progress reports related to architectural and fit-out works, inspection records, handover records, defects list etc.

（8）Record all defects of works, ensure proper documentation for all variation orders and others.

（9）Ability to complete and hand over projects within timeline and achieve quality finishing

（10） To make pro-active response on site problems and resolved immediately with the Project team members
