Duties and Responsibilities

· To assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the daily execution of work;

· Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards;

· Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries;

· To supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers;

· To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule;

· Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings;

· To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers;

· Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship;

· Attend the daily tool-box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly;

· Understand and ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of work.

Summary of Qualifications

1. Vocational Certificate in any relevant technical discipline;

2. At least 3 years of working experience in the related field;

3. Proven experience working as a Supervisor;

4. Good knowledge of local building codes and construction safety regulations;

5. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment;

6. Possessed of relevant safety certification (SCWSH / BCSS / CSOC / W@H / First Aid etc.) is desirable;

7. Highly proactive attitude, self-motivated, team player, problem-solving skills;

8. Excellent organizational and communication skills;

9. May need to work on Sunday and public holiday.

10. Must be able to work night shift and split shift

11. Must be able to work extra hours or weekend if needed

Job Description&Requirements

• Provide Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) enforcement support.
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes.
• Recommend/take reasonably practical action to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace.
• Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risk.
• Recommend reasonably practical measures to minimize the risk.
• Inspect and examine any machinery, equipment, etc in the workplace.
• Enforce site safety practices.
• Organize safety & health awareness program for the site.
• Conduct and Coordinate site safety & health auditing with 3rd party consultants.
• Conduct site safety & health meeting and prepare reports for relevant parties.
• Prepare Safety & Health management programs and ensures effective implementation.
• Inspect and examine workplace records, certificates, notices and documents are kept.
• Minimum Two (2) years of WSHO working experience in the Construction industry.
• Required Skill(s): Organized, Detailed, Time Management, Good communications & interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit Site Environmental Control Programme to the Project Manager of the construction site
- Ensure compliance of operations with Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
- Conduct Workplace Environmental Control audit and incident investigations
- Compile all relevant reports and carry routine Environmental Control inspections
- Coordinate and correspond with external agencies, MOM, NEA etc. on WSH related matters
- Assist Site Safety manager and officer in the implementation of the Environmental Control management system
- Perform regular safety inspection to look out for conditions/situation in construction site which causes safety, health and environmental problems
- Conduct Environmental Health and Safety Orientation training to new employees/workers.
- Conduct WSH Talks and coordinate internal training courses relating to WSH in order to promote WSH awareness.
- To look out for conditions/situation in construction site which causes safety, health and environmental problems
- Assist in organizing WSH Campaign and other promotional activities and conduct emergency evacuation exercises
- Assist the company in workplace accident investigation and reports in accordance with the requirement under the WSH Act
- Maintain, update and retain relevant records and certificates as required under the regulation required by the authorities, preparation and submission of reports to authorities if required

**Job Requirements:
- Must be certified and registered ECO with NEA
- At least 3 years of working experience in the LTA MRT project is required for this position.
