• Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built handover through the QC turnover engineer
• Review and prepare reports on Authority inspections (RI inspection, BCA TOP inspection, etc)
• Establish Project Quality System, implement and maintain in accordance with Singapore standards application to BCA for CONQUAS Assessment and provide a framework to achieve the score
• Assess the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on site
• Ensure the project QA/QC plan follows specifications and contract requirements
• Compete for site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
• Coordinate quality inspections with all the site subcontractors and vendors and coordinate all non-destructive testing on site
• Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
• Verify the quality-related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
• Participate in the site's internal and external site audits
• Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
• Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action
• Must have fluent English communication skills to liaise with the Client’s staff

The Quality Technician, Product Quality is responsible for product release of complete instrument and play key role in ensuring the released instrument is meeting quality and regulatory requirements.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, PQE and is part of the QARA team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform outgoing product release (Device History Records buy-off) and inspection on instruments according to documented procedures.
• Perform part tracking for install and complaint issues. Ensure part is being received so failure analysis can be initiated.
• Support in complaint investigation activities. The job also require work with cross functional team and ensure proper investigation records is generated.

The essential requirements of the job include

• Diploma/ ITE in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of relevant working experience in QA is required.
• Knowledge of the following QMS standards - ISO9001 QMS, ISO13485 QMS and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 is strongly

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience in performing product release activity for medical equipment’s.

Responsibilities:

·Driving Root Cause analysis in problem diagnosis from customer anomaly to ensure problem prevention and resolution implementation ensuring effectiveness

·Management of Change communication to customer for approval to implementation

·Develop, implement, and improve the department and product total quality system to assure product specification is met

·Facilitate and work with team members on quality improvement to the product by providing technical guidance in QE tools applications

·Perform quality system or process audit to assure quality systems are in place

·Support the viper manufacturing in ensuring product meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required

·Establish & Implement manufacturing quality metrics and lead team on to achieve the goal and continuous improvement

·Meet Plant/Department cost & quality objectives

·Implement lessons learned across manufacturing and also new products development projects

·Perform special projects to support continuous improvement on an ongoing basis thru functional standardization and implement process improvement ideas in primary work area.

·To adhere to the Health & Safety regulations as set out by the EHS Department and any other Government regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)

Degree in Electronics Engineering

5 years of experience in a Quality/Engineering in Product Design Engineering/Manufacturing environment preferred

SKILLS

Analytical problem-solving skills

Proficient oral and written communication/presentation skills

Basic print reading and interpretation of specification skills

Good knowledge of FMEA, Control Plan

Advanced statistical experience with quality tools usage and Product Design Development Cycle is preferred

Certified Design for Six Sigma/Six Sigma Black Belt/Reliability Engineer will have an added advantage
