Officer contributes actively to the programme needs of Special Student Care Centre under the umbrella of Community-Based Support Services (CSS).

- Collaborate with project managers, and main contractor to resolve quality issues.

- Maintain Project Quality Plan, Management Plan and other Quality records, attend and/or arrange testing activities.

- Compilation of all test reports for submission to the main contractor or related authorities.

- Prepare and present QA/QC reports and documentation for management review.

Skill Preferable:

- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

- Minimum 3 years of related working experience in the construction industry.

- Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office

Duties and Responsibilities

· To assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the daily execution of work;

· Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards;

· Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries;

· To supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers;

· To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule;

· Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings;

· To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers;

· Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship;

· Attend the daily tool-box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly;

· Understand and ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of work.

Summary of Qualifications

1. Vocational Certificate in any relevant technical discipline;

2. At least 3 years of working experience in the related field;

3. Proven experience working as a Supervisor;

4. Good knowledge of local building codes and construction safety regulations;

5. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment;

6. Possessed of relevant safety certification (SCWSH / BCSS / CSOC / W@H / First Aid etc.) is desirable;

7. Highly proactive attitude, self-motivated, team player, problem-solving skills;

• Examine blueprints or project specifications to fully understand the scope and requirements.
• Arrange and securely fasten reinforcing rods within forms following blueprint specifications, utilizing wire and pliers.
• Set up fencing or protective barriers as necessary.
• Precisely position structural elements in their designated locations.
• Secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh within concrete forms using appropriate tools, such as fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.
• Accurately install metal structural components.
• Cut reinforcing rods to the specified lengths using metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches.
• Prepare metal components by cutting them to match required specifications.
• Place blocks beneath rebar to elevate it above the deck, ensuring proper floor reinforcement.
• Install safety and support equipment as needed to maintain structural integrity.
