vii) Assist the authorities to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector-borne or food-borne diseases at the construction site; and

viii) Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities, where required, to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards.

ix) Conduct inspection of the ECM at the worksite in accordance to ECM plan

x) Maintain records of all inspections.

xi) Advice the PM & project team members on the implementation of the EHSMS & implement the EHSMS.

• Review and update the Company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy and any other relevant documents, as well as WSH procedures, to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, guidelines and legislations.
• Perform safety audits and inspections of the Company’s worksites to identify potential hazards and risks through recommending relevant control measures for implementation.
• Identify and recommend the industry’s best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Identify any areas of improvement/weakness or deviations/significant changes in the Company, for recommendation of risk control measures.
• Conduct In-House training programmes and other safety-related programmes for the Company’s employees to raise awareness of safety issues.
• Investigate and review all accidents and incidents, including near-misses and occupational injuries, to determine root causes, implement preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned and/or required

Requirement:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor
• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 year
• Must be a registered Environmental Control officer and Earth Control Measures Officer.
