Job responsibilities:

• Assist the WSH Manager to identify and assess risks arising from the workplace.

• Conduct site safety inspection and enforce compliance on prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations.

• Assist to conduct Safety Committee meetings, organize and promote safety events and campaign, etc.

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings to highlight safety issues.

• Supervise and attend to all issues related to workplace safety, health and environmental control.

• Ensure all documentation / permits / licenses related to work place safety, health and environmental control required by authorities and management are kept in order.

• Assist in conducting periodic WSH cross inspection for all sites to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.

• Assist in conducting safety training / briefing such as familiarization on Risk Management’s standardize procedures to the respective site team to ensure safety awareness that the operations are safe and in compliance with statutory regulations and international standards / practices.

• Identify unsafe acts or practice and promptly correct any unsafe condition or practice.

• Any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Advance certificate in Workplace Safety & Health/NITEC in Engineering (Environment, Health, Safety) or relevant field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience

• Familiar with regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety

• Possess a high level of the initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Description:

• Responsible for all safety aspects of the construction site
• Prepare and conduct safety inspection
• Ensure all safety policies, procedures and regulations compliance with MOM Workplace Safety and Health Act
• Manage and lead WSH Coordinators
• Prepare safety reports and conduct internal safety related training
• Assisting company safety related certifications and awareness
• Other adhoc duties assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

• Registered WSHO with MOM
• Minimum Diploma in Workplace Safety And Health/ Occupational Health and Safety.
• Relevant working experience in construction industry will be advantageous

Responsibilities

3. Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training employees.

4. Assesses safety and finance goals.

5. Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting contractors.

6. Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews.

7. Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures.

8. Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope.

9. Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases.

10. Prevents fines and work interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.

11 Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as construction foreman with a minimum 6 years of relevant working experience

2. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines

3. Flexibility with time to work extra hours and rotating shift work when the project requires.

4. Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects

5. Highly organized with strong attention to detail

6. Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines

7. Great time management and problem-solving skills
