The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a population-based health research initiative at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. SPHS aims to investigate the interactions between lifestyle, physiological, genetic and other omics biomarkers and their impact on health and longevity. THE OPPORTUNITY:

In this role, you will be responsible to lead the Warm-Water aquatic Animal Health R&D operations, both people and facilities in Singapore in line with regulations (GLP, GMP, SHE, Local/International). You will be accountable for the operations and related tasks required to support the research and development leading to the timely launch of commercially viable vaccine and therapies.

As Legal Representative you will report to the Global Species Head, and a dotted line to the Director Aqua R&D. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the daily management of the Company. You shall perform the work in line with that which is usual practice for a Managing Director pursuant to rules and regulations. You shall continuously inform the Global Species Head and if required the Country Counsil concerning the leadership of the undertaking, the Company's financial situation and the Company's affairs in other respects and provide such an account and information as requested and you shall implement any necessary measures to ensure that the Company's accounts are in accordance with applicable legislation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead the R&D operational team; maintains, within guidelines, an inclusive culture within the site that motivates employees by providing good communication and a positive team environment
• Direct and manages organizational aspects of the site to develop staff with expertise and know-how for all necessary operations. Manages the organization to fulfil all vital functions by personnel including selection, hiring and development of staff.
• Be responsible for all site assets from budgeting, procurement, maintenance, use and retirement to optimized efficiency of use
• Maintain a GLP quality system for all R&D activities and, ensure adherence to Company and local EHS standards and adherence to Animal Welfare requirements throughout
• Supervise and is end responsible for Quality control activities and Quality Assurance on site (Qualified Person).
• Might be asked to participate in R&D discussions and activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates should possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent work experience) in Biology, Veterinary Science and related fields with 5+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical R&D position – preferentially fish vaccine development, fish diseases or aquatic veterinary practices. Relevant experience (3+ year) in leading an R&D team and/or R&D projects is regarded a pre.

1,monitor ongoing construction projects and ensure they are completed within the projected budget and schedule. They work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure a project is cost-effective and meets quality standards.

2,make sure the projects progress efficiently, affordably and safely by assisting in Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process and preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

a) Administrative function such as data entry, typing, faxing, filling, attending to telephone calls, managing email account & etc.

• Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, builder, etc) for the building and related facilities.
• Supervise sub-contractors who carry out approved repair works and scheduled maintenance in the building.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to execute preventive maintenance regime and/or ad-hoc upgrading project and monitor the work progress.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to attend to tenant’s feedback on the building and related facilities.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff when required.

8. Troubleshooting of fault / breakdowns and rectification according to authorities / clients requirement.

11. Attendance of meeting and or site survey with clients.

12. Submission of quotations / costing to clients within stimulated time frame.

13. Maintenance of good public relationship with vendors / clients.

14. Logistic and manpower planning and arrangement.
