· Comply and assist in implementing the requirements of the WSH Act and all its subsidiary and statutory legal legislations.

Role of Position

Leading a team of Workplace Safety & Health Staff, the incumbent is overall responsible for the functions of the organizations EHS Team and the effective implementation of the Organizations SHMS within all departments and

sites.

Key Performance Outcome Measurements

· Responsible for the scheduling and delivery of timelines integrated within the Organization’s SHMS;

· Effective deployment of EHS personnel within the Organization;

· Review of outgoing EHS documentation to external agencies;

· Monitor EHS inventories;

Requirements

• Min. 4 years’ experience as WSHO in Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of operations with local safety regulations and guidelines such as the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, WSH Regulations, and other relevant standards, including regular updates on any changes to these regulations.
• Follow up with the committee site walk inspection findings for WSH Officer to close up the report and assist WSH Officer on incident/accident investigation.
• Assist WSHO to organize monthly Safety Committee meetings and put-up safety reports, including safety issues.
• Compiles all relevant reports and records and carries out daily safety inspections.
• Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations.
• To support and administer all WSH-related initiatives.

Requirements:

Construction Coordinator reports to Asst. Project Manager and assist in supervising, monitoring, and coordinating structural/MEP/Architectural works carried out by subcontractors via daily inspection and monitoring to ensure all trade works are constructed according to specified requirements and schedule. Job duties include reporting site progression, surveying, ordering of construction materials, maintenance of site facilities, ensuring all site health and safety rules and regulations are abided by, daily scheduling and allocation of manpower, and issuing of work instructions as stipulated by project requirement.

Job Description:

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT assures the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget. Using customer construction management procedures and experience, provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control.

Oversees total construction field effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets and schedules. Monitoring projects with respect to demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure timely execution of projects as per drawing. customer & consultant on contractual matters regarding progress of works, conducting meetings with present situations and other construction issues.

Supervises all areas on small projects and / or a subset / discipline on larger projects

Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction projects in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the customer, and in accordance with the customer’s operating policies and principles.

Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project.

Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines / subset of on-site construction.

Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximize utilization and ensure work is delivered on schedule

Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.

Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control

Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions

Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with customer’s requirement

Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with customer/ contract document specifications and in accordance with customer Policies & Procedures

Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site and report any issues as required

Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability

Qualifications:

Minimum qualified Degree or Diploma; or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 15+ years of post-qualification experience in a relevant industry
