• Specialist Diploma in WSH
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in construction industry
• Possess a valid registration with MOM

Job responsibilities:

• Assist the WSH Manager to identify and assess risks arising from the workplace.

• Conduct site safety inspection and enforce compliance on prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations.

• Assist to conduct Safety Committee meetings, organize and promote safety events and campaign, etc.

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings to highlight safety issues.

• Supervise and attend to all issues related to workplace safety, health and environmental control.

• Ensure all documentation / permits / licenses related to work place safety, health and environmental control required by authorities and management are kept in order.

• Assist in conducting periodic WSH cross inspection for all sites to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.

• Assist in conducting safety training / briefing such as familiarization on Risk Management’s standardize procedures to the respective site team to ensure safety awareness that the operations are safe and in compliance with statutory regulations and international standards / practices.

• Identify unsafe acts or practice and promptly correct any unsafe condition or practice.

• Any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Advance certificate in Workplace Safety & Health/NITEC in Engineering (Environment, Health, Safety) or relevant field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience

• Familiar with regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety

• Possess a high level of the initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects
• Advanced certificate in workplace safety and health (WSH)
• At least 3 years of experience in WSH field, preferably in construction industry
• Able to provide hands-on support to sites as well as ability to take a strategic approach to improving EHS performance
• Strong communication skills, strong English language skills
• Collaborative approach, strong team-working skills Dynamic, self-motivated

Applicants must have Hot Work Safety Assessor and Confined Space Safety Assessor certs.

Preferable to have some shipyard experience, although not necessary as training will be provided.

Willing to work at odd hours, weekends, public holidays and on short notices.

Must be physically fit or not afraid to board vessels at anchorage.

Must not suffer from sea sickness as job requires taking launch boats to vessels.

Those with seafaring experience at advantage

Job scope is inspection of vessels at anchorage or PSA wharves for issuance of hot work or confined space permits.

Job Description :

Ensure compliance to corporate EHS policy, implement actions to drive compliance and improvements to maintain EHS Management Systems

Review any statutory updates, identify relevant EHS requirements, prepare procedures towards achieving compliance to the new statutory requirement

Lead and facilitate compliance, EHS internal audit / surveys

Organize and lead regular EHS inspections, meetings and monitoring of corrective / preventive action

Develop procedures, programme to maintain compliance

Review new process and lead risk assessment relevant to the new process

Responsible for corporate EHS reporting requirements

Lead incident and accident investigation, follow up on effectivenees of implemented action

Plan EHS training programme to increase safety awareness

Coordinate and work together with all departments, clients and contractor/vendors to advise on all EHS related issues

Promote zero accident culture in the company to strive group EHS KPI targets

Job Requirements :

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Health and safety related disciplines

Possess valid MOM registered WSHO, NEA registered ECO and PUB

Registered ECMO license

Certificate in BizSafe level 2 Risk Management or equivalent

Minimum 8 years working experience in Construction Industry

Relevant experience in civil and building industry preferred

Possess class 3 driving license and own a car

Good communication skills, team player, good knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

3 to 5 years experience in Bored Piling Works

Working Days: 6 days work week (8am to 5pm)
