Roles & Responsibilities

1. Dual Certification and Registration:

The WSHO cum ECO must be registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer.

Work closely with authorities and stakeholders to coordinate traffic management plans and ensure smooth operation around the work area.

7. Incident Investigation and Reporting:

The WSHO cum ECO must investigate all safety, health, or environmental incidents, near misses, and accidents that occur on-site.

Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

Ensure that all incidents are reported to the relevant authorities in accordance with regulatory requirements.

8. Collaboration and Communication:

• Research market developments and competition rates; act on findings.
• Build and expand relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Work closely with suppliers, other offices, forwarders, and agents on rate offers and negotiations.
• File and maintain supplier information, rates, and surcharges in our Internal Vendor System.
• Monitor and manage the expiration of various rates in the Vendor System.
• Handle and control all rate negotiations with suppliers.
• Look for ways to make the best use of the supplier portfolio.
• Manage, support, and assist the regional procurement team in daily activities.
• Assist the Superior in other procurement duties as needed.

Able to lead a group of workers to carry out plastering, bricks laying, tiling works, pebble wash.

Ability to keep track of multiple projects to ensure works are on time

Compliance to safe work procedures and maintain good housekeeping

Ensure safety matters on site and quality of completed works

Able to do skilled labour works while supervising others, such as

1. ž Laying tiles in accordance with tiling plan, cutting tiles where necessary.

2. ž Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels

3. ž Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise.

4. ž Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results.

5. ž Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly.

6. ž Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, ensure not to break and hollowness.

7. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

• Checking and managing material inventory.
• Assessing project progress and providing input to the Project Manager.
• Undertake additional office and field tasks as required.
