Our client is one of the leading player in the Construction Sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Project Accountant to be part of their Finance and Accounts team for ongoing projects. They are located in the East Area.

Responsibility:

• Manage project performance, ensuring operational KPIs are met and coordinating with Project Managers.
• Prepare and present quarterly performance reports to stakeholders.
• Analyze, forecast, and monitor project costs, addressing variances and providing updates.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and statutory/interim audits.
• Provide insights on WIP, collections, risks, opportunities, and cash flow.
• Recommend improvements in project management and reporting processes.
• Review and validate project payments and invoices.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Finance / Accountancy or any related field
• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in Construction or similar industry, handling various projects

To ensure that company policies and procedures are maintained and implemented at all times while continuously seeking ways to improve, refine, and modify procedures.  Manage and coordinate all shop drawings, field drawings, and all other project details with general contractor.  Prepared claim for RC and ARCH works.  Prepared quantity rebar, formwork, concrete, for foundation and column and beam and slab  Prepared BBS for foundation and column and beam and slab  Prepared inspection report before casting.  Reviewing methods of statements, specifications, and standards of materials.  Attend daily and weekly progress meetings and update the progress report for the client.  Attend the weekly technical meeting to discuss technical items and prepare MOM.  To attend weekly interface meetings to address interface items amongst other interface contractors.  To coordinate the workload and distribute the work amongst the supervisors.  Planning Project Schedule & coordinate with subcontracts Incoming Inspection – Raw Material.  Preparation of MOM for RC and ARCH Works.  Preparation of SWP and RA for RC and ARCH Works.  Resolve any issues that arise during the course of the project.  Directing the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and budget with required quality while maintaining the highest safety standards.  Supervising a team of professionals and ensuring suitable deployment and timely availability of manpower (designers and Supervisor).  It took several measures, such as quality requirements specific to codes and norms, requirements for safe operations during execution, and an effective plan of resources to ensure that the project was in line with the requirements specified by clients.  Played a key role in cost control through close monitoring of control measures.  Ensure all engineering tasks are on budget, schedule and scope of work.  Allocation of various tasks to fit out sub-contractors.  Responsible for reviewing areas over budget with purchase department and manpower working under them.  Arrange Third Party Inspections (pull out test).  Ensure the safety, quality @ all time during construction.
