HANDBACK ENGINEER

The ideal candidate for this position will possess minimum of 5 years relevant experience on trackwork renewal in metro railway operations and shall hold a recognised qualification as a Handback Engineer.

Job Description :

• Supervise, inspect and certify that the completed/renewed track is fit for purpose upon completion of work.
• Attend the Operator’s toolbox meeting and confirm that the track is safe for commencement of train operation after each work shift in accordance with the operator’s procedures and standards.

HR Executive

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Onboarding

1. Recruitment of New Employees (including foreign workers and personnels) for the company. Post advertisements, liaise with Agents and collate applications for the requesting depts. Coordinate interviews of potential candidates.

2. Prepare Letter of Employment, confirmation letter and other HR related letters for employees.

3. Purchase PCP (Primary Care Plan) for Foreign Staff on WP and S Pass applications.

C. Routines

1. Manage of Employees data. Monitor and update particulars, attendance, leave records of all employees. Record keeping of workers and staff licences, course certifications and expiry dates for monitoring and following-up actions.

Job Description

1. The WSH Officer shall undertake the duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

2. The WSH Officer shall act as an advisor to the occupier of the project site about the requirement stipulated in the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislation, WSH (Construction) Regulations and applicable Code of Practices.

3. To implement the Company Safety Management System at the work site / workplace, in exclusively on administration work.

4. To advise the occupier, general manager or any other person in charge of a project site on the measures to be taken in the interest of safety and health of the person employed.

5. To conduct inspection of the project site personally or direct his assistant to inspect the factory on his behalf. To determine whether there is any machinery, plant, equipment or work process or any description of manual labour used in the factory which is of such a nature that is liable to cause bodily injury to any person working or employed in the project site.

6. To manage and assist the site management in investigating into any accident which took place within the worksite / factory and check the supervisor’s report and the action taken to remove the root causes of such accident.

7. To investigate into every fatal accident and dangerous occurrence, which took place within the project site and any industrial disease, contacted in the project site.

8. To discuss the findings of the inspection with the occupier / project manager and follow-up on the remedial actions required.

9. To organise training courses, competition and other activities, which develop and maintain the interest of the person, employed in the factory in establishing a safe and healthy working condition.

10. Take part in any inspection of the project site carried out by the management for the purpose of assessing the efficiency of any measures taken in compliance of the Act.

• To be competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site. The appointed person must havethe strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.
• Appointed person possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for build-ability and safety assurancesystem.
• To carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
• To manage the site supervisors with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and MandE engineering works.
• To attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings Interpret drawings and contract documents on works to be carried

Requirement :

• Atleast four (5) years of experience as a RE.
• The RE shall be an engineer in the civil/structural discipline with qualification accredited by the Commissioner of Building Control and accepted by Institute of Engineer Singapore (IES) / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
