· Monitoring the quality of welding work to ensure that it meets industry standards
· Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and practices for the workplace
· Reporting to management about the status of projects, including delays that may occur due to equipment problems or other issues
· Training new welders in proper welding techniques and safety procedures
· Reviewing blueprints and other plans to determine how welders will be able to implement them
· Providing technical assistance to other welders when needed
· Ensuring that proper safety precautions are taken while welding is being performed
· Assist in developing welding methods, operations, or procedures to solve production problems
· Recommend measures to improve productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce scrap loss
· Train new workers in welding techniques, safety procedures, or company policies
· Requisition supplies, such as electrodes, gas, or power sources
· Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and take corrective action
· Prepare reports on daily production activities
· Able to work on weekend and public holiday
