Job Description
· To provide social and emotional support to identified students through daily interaction via mentoring and counselling
· To support the holistic development of identified students by connecting with them through building of positive relationships
· To support the Key Personnel (KP) in the planning and conducting of intervention and engagement activities in building sense of belonging to the school and positive character in the identified students
· To provide feedback on activities and the identified students through observation and experience, raise concerns on any issues, and highlight the needs of the identified students to the KP for further intervention or support. To provide written reports on these matters
· To manage all related administrative duties and relevant data
· To support the KP in external engagement of the identified students namely out of school activities and house visits
· To support the School Personnel (SP) in all activities and groups under UPLIFT and ESP
· 1 day in a week (tentatively Wednesday): Conduct a customised programme for After School Engagement (ASE) students (mentoring, SEL, etc.) Duration: 2.5 hour sessions
Requirements
· Minimally a Diploma in Social Work or working with youth related courses.
· All Instructors should be competent to handle the tasks and responsibilities assigned. All Instructors should have preferably 1 year of experience in working with youths or in counselling work / social services.
· Must be MOE registered
Working hours
· Mondays to Fridays: 10.30am to 4.00pm inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
· 5 hours per session with an estimated total of 150 sessions (750 hours)
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
