• Our Medical Social Workers collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders to regularly review individual residents' medical, nursing, therapy, and social aspects as part of delivering person-centric care. Job Description:

Objectives:

• Cultivate a sense of belonging and school affiliation through positive peer relations

Implementation and Review:

• Share plans for each session with teachers-in-charge at least two weeks in advance
• Conduct and manage weekly Wednesday’s programme for a class of students.
• Develop the leadership skills of the selected students
• Assist the teachers in the school in the operation of After-School Engagement venue on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Mentor students and model good values
• To work with the teachers-in-charge to motivate students and equip them with relevant skills and values
• Conduct a pre- and post- survey based on the objectives at the end of June and November
• Adjust the programme based on feedback from teachers-in-charge feedback, and survey data

Engagement with External Parties:

• Liaise with external communities and provide platforms for students to partake in a sustained service-learning project and learning journeys together with the teachers-in-charge
• Service-learning projects should be sustained for the same beneficiaries across the three interactions. The target beneficiaries are disadvantaged children such as young children at risk, underprivileged children, children with special needs or other similar sectors
• Post exam activity should be conducted at an external venue that is play-focused for students to wind down
• Learning journey should include a trip to one industry based on students’ interest and aligned with current economies of work, i.e. Green Economy, Care Economy or Digital Economy

About Restorative Care Department:

Restorative Care Department (RCD) was started in 2006, with one Family Resource Centre located within Prison Link Centre (Changi) specializes in serving offenders, ex-offenders and their families through a variety of programmes.

Case Management Services (CMS) was launched in 2019 to provide short-term case management for releasing inmates. Its objectives are to assist clients and their families with reintegration into society, offer individual support and guidance for transitioning back into the community, and address criminogenic needs to prevent re-offending and relapse.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information and referral services for offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
• Conduct risk assessment, social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning.
• Timely preparation and submission of reports and case recordings.
• Conduct meetings, sessions, workshops and programme to offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
• Required to cover office duties at various centres

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that residents comply with the Centre’s Rules and Regulations.
• Setting up of Individual Care Plan for all residents
• Responsible for the Clinical Intervention components in the Centre (include counselling and caring services).
• Assist in ensuring safe custody of residents

1. Reading and interpreting drawings: Before you build the formworks used to pour concrete for various structures, you check the blueprints. You read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints to understand the shapes of the formworks and where the concrete structures will be placed. You can build accurate forms for different structures when you understand the drawings.

2. Determining the materials needed: as a formworker, you determine the materials needed to create forms for beams, staircases or foundations. You decide on the ideal materials for the job, whether plywood, timber or metal, and you order them for the project. Your duties also involve measuring, cutting, and shaping wood or metal for creating the forms.

3. Setting up the forms: as a formworker, you are expected to produce concrete blocks for the project you are working on. You ensure the forms are in the ideal shapes for the project and assist the construction workers in pouring the concrete into the forms.

4. Removing the forms when the concrete dries: after pouring the concrete and allowing it to set, you remove the wood moulding. The wood forms should be carefully removed so that they can be reused on future projects. You also repair or replace damaged forms. When the concrete dries, you do the finishing and fill all the gaps to ensure it's in perfect shape.

5. Cleaning and maintaining tools: as a formworker, you are responsible for constructing and maintaining wood forms. That means you use hand and power tools to cut lumber, drill holes and fasten the boards together. You also maintain the tools and keep them clean.

6. Leadership

Train and lead foreign workers to complete daily tasks together, reasonably arrange the division of labor and assistance of team members, and participate in progress management.
