• The GM (Project Management/Operations) must possess vast experience and knowledge in the construction industry, be able to manage a few projects simultaneously.
• Applicant should have strong organizational and communication skills and be responsible for the day-to-day operations for meeting operational objectives that aligned with overall business goals in terms of the following: -
• Providing guidance and input to the team on tender, execution and completion of all the projects to meet budget and timeline.
• Shall work closely with the General Manager of Engineering, MEP, Commercial, Contracts and Finance & Administration divisions to ensure that the operational processes are streamlined and optimized to improve efficiency and productivity to meet its business objectives.
• Working with the Corporate Planning Team to develop and implement the company strategic plan to achieve long and short-term team goals and targets.

Job requirements:

• Recognized Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering) or equivalent, preferably recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore or Board of Architects.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team of departmental heads.
• Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards

Senior Project Manager

• Construction Industry
• Basic $7,500 - $9,000 (commensurate with experience)
• PB
• 5.5 Days; Timing will be dscussed during the interview
• Location: Singapore River, Central Region

Job Responsibilities:

• Report and assist Project Director (PD) on project functions included but not limited to project management, site management, risk control management etc. to meet the project(s) goals
• Leading and mentoring a project team by setting guidelines and/or procedures, providing advice and supervision when necessary
• Responsible for overall Project Management activities inclusive of overall planning and coordination of project from award of project, design, construction to completion within established budget, schedule and quality standards
• Assist PD in collations of project progress reports e.g. Monthly Report, VO Management, EOT Assessment, Project Progress Updates, etc
• Monitor project development schedule and manage the day-to-day operations of a program, project or function, including developing short and long-range goals, objectives and budgets, coordinating activities with other Contractors
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with Contractual requirements and target completion date is met
• Liaise with Client’s Representatives, Consultants and/or Contractors engaged on the project and attend regular meetings so as to ensure the progress is on schedule
• Supervise and monitoring the site labor force and monitor the work of Subcontractors including resolve any unexpected construction difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site and to ensure Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) practices are carried out at all time and identify high risks safety hazard activities before construction and approval of Method Statements - Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit
• Under the WSH Act, employees have a duty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe:(a)Cooperate with employers and follow safety and health procedure; (b)Report unsafe acts and incidents; (c) Do not tamper with safety devices or perform wilful or reckless acts
• Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit

Job Requirements:

• Degree recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB) in Civil Engineering or equivalent 10 years and more of working experience in the construction industry
• Experience in LTA/Roadworks/MRT/Viaducts projects.
