THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Casework and Counselling

• Engage client and significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.) in a therapeutic manner to understand their needs
• Manage and overcome reluctance and resistance to change
• Implement and follow up on care/ case plans and interventions to determine the suitability of care/ case plans in addressing client's needs and modify them where necessary
• Draft social reports for complex cases to be reviewed by supervisor
• Conceptualise and identify appropriate approaches to develop care/ case plan for
• client
• Help clients to develop and choose strategies and formulate viable plans
• Represent case in case conference

Group Work

• Target and reach out to individuals and/ or targeted groups who may benefit from group work conducted by organisations/ agencies
• Plan, implement, monitor, evaluate and modify therapeutic group work to address issues of target groups
• Facilitate high risk therapeutic group work under supervision

Community Work

• Conduct environmental scans and assess community needs
• Design, develop and implement community-specific development programmes (e.g. aging community in a specific neighbourhood)
• Participate in community development initiatives and provide recommendations for consideration

Professional Development & Education

• Engage in learning opportunities (e.g. participate in community of practice meetings to develop skills and capabilities)
• Attend professional development courses to acquire professional knowledge and skills
• Supervise interns and/ or students on placement
• Guide fresh/ junior social workers

Research

• Participate and support research
• Engage in multi-disciplinary team research projects Programme Development & Implementation
• Participate/ implement programmes (e.g. strengthening activities appropriate to clients' profile)
• Review and refine programmes to target client groups or other stakeholders/ partners/ agencies
• Identify service gaps in response to client needs and make recommendations to improve service provision of programmes

• Degree in Social Work/ Post Graduate in Social Work

• At least six years' experience working in the social service sector, (Family Service Centre) preferably with clients with disability, neurocognitive and/or mental health issues
• At least two years' supervisory experience in the social service sector
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; and a high level of integrity

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. To meet up with students who require intervention. To engage and

interact to build rapport with students. To use counselling skills &

techniques to encourage the discussions of emotions and

experiences so as to understand the educational macro- and microsystem of the students.

2. To help identify precisely the underlying issues such as social or

emotional disadvantages, discrimination, poverty or trauma, etc for

accurate planning of intervention measures in order to enhance

students’ connectedness to school and build resilience.

3. To appropriately address concerns or issues faced by students such

as but not limited to stress, mental health, and socio-emotional wellbeing. To equip students with coping strategies to manage their

concerns and apply them when needed.

4. To act as mentors to provide guidance, motivation, emotional support,

coaching and role-modelling to students.

5. To customise engagement programmes at individual and group level

for targeted students with agreement from the relevant stakeholders.

To manage administrative load when working with external

stakeholders / service providers in engagement of students and/or

parents. Other examples of an engagement programme may include

but not limited to:

a. planning for a bridging programme for long-term absentee to return

back to class.

b. reflection-based and/or adventure-based activities that will

contribute to positive student development and resilience.

c. may also include providing an after-school care activities, after

curriculum time to give additional engagement for at-risk students

such as organizing a competition / games, problem-solving

activities, cooking or singing workshop, etc.

6. To conduct home visits with school staff, meetings with stakeholders

and make referrals where appropriate.

7. To ensure proper documentation to record counselling and

engagement activities for individual students including summary of

cases under his/her charge to be submitted at the end of each week.

8. To monitor, follow up and communicate with stakeholders from within

the school e.g. form teachers, school leaders, etc when required.

Communication with parents and relevant external agencies will be on

an invitation basis and/or in the presence of the programme in-charge

education officer.

9. To share counselling tips with teachers and other stakeholders at

selected platforms at least once a term.

Job Description & Requirements

• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems at work sites.
• Conduct regular WSH inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
• Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipments and operations
• Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
• Inspect project sites to ensure safety measure are being carried out at all times

Requirements:

• Possess relevant safety certificates (Eg Advanced Certificate in WSH, Safety Officer's Course or equivalent)

- Responsible for preparation and timely submission of claims, variation orders, budget & cost control and settlement of final account.

- Documents preparation for sourcing of quotations for both pre and post tender stages

- Preparation of tender evaluation, conduct negotiation with subcontractors & suppliers

- To ensure a timely closure of all main contract

- Quantity take off, cost estimate, contract administrations and support in tender exercise

Responsibility :

• Review, track & monitor the main contractors’ programmes and/or CAG/CAAS direct contractors’ programmes to comply with CAG requirements.
• Review the main contractors’ baseline S-curve, cost loading, resources allocation, histograms and 4D BIM, highlighting areas of concern to SO/SO(Rep).
• Review and give detailed feedback on main contractors’ schedule submissions and recommend status of approval / non-approval to the SO/SO(Rep) in compliance with CAG requirements.
• Prepare monthly dashboard reports to CAG in relation to the progress of works and any issues that may negatively impact on the timely completion of the contract including presentation to stakeholders, if any.
• Review main contractors’ progress reports.
• Review main contractors’ updated programmes which reflects the actual progress of works and capture any change of work sequence.
• Keep record of important site information such as, equipment and manpower deployment, changes to any design/construction dates, delay events, etc.
• Review and assess trade productivities.

Qualification:

• The Planner shall possess at least ten (10) years of relevant construction experience with at least 7 years of experience in development and/or review of project schedules for every phase of the construction project lifespan by using Primavera P6;
• The Planner shall possess a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or relevant discipline;
• The Planner shall have experience in scheduling for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of works;
• The Planner shall possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point and Word; in addition, the Planner shall also be proficient in Primavera P6;
• The Planner shall be able to work independently, a strong team player and to handle fast paced projects;
• The Planner shall have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders across all levels and have good presentation skills.

• Provide and facilitate socio-economic evaluations to help patients and their families address practical concerns, such as financial matters, which are often an issue at the end of life
• On-going individual and family counselling through face-to-face sessions or home visitations in order to help navigate the personal and ethical dilemma, cultural conflict and issue relating to religion, spirituality and the meaning of life
• Work with the broader community which includes educational, religious, and social service organizations so that patients and their families can achieve optimal end of life goals
• Engage families’ involvement and encourage their visits, as well as prepares patients / families for the end-of-life stage and managing the life closure and the dying process
• Provide bereavement information, education and support to help the families of the deceased patients cope with their grief and loss
• Attend Interdisciplinary Patient Care Conferences with medical, nursing, allied health colleagues to discuss plans for total management of the patient
• Counsel patients and their family members on financial and discharge care plans
• Perform field work involving visiting patients in hospital wards and other social agencies to help patients alleviate or resolve their medico-social problems
• Prepare social and other related reports for management and other related institutions / agencies
• Present cases for discussion and engages actively on formal platforms such as departmental or inter-departmental meetings for the purpose of sharing, reviewing and clarifying of atypical, difficult issues
• Maintain constant networking with Counsellor, staff nurses, nursing officers and relevant medical staff / authorities of other organisations
• Undertake more workload or difficult cases when required
• Orientate and On-Job-Trains new staff and / or attached interns on their performance of duties
• Participate in in-service education programme and follow-up to ensure optimum transfer of learning
• Present the works and development in palliative and end of life care setting to other disciplines
• Document all social interventions for record, within the expected time frame set by the department

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work-related/Masters in Counselling related disciplines
• Registered with the Singapore Association of Social Workers/Singapore Association for Counselling
• At least 3-4 years of medical social work experience in healthcare institution or hospital setting
• Able to communicate in local dialects is desirable
