RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role

You will be part of our community outreach team, also known as Community Resource, Engagement & Support Team (CREST), focusing on raising public awareness of mental health conditions and dementia, early recognition of at-risk individuals, providing emotional support to individuals and their caregivers and link individuals to relevant health and social care services where necessary.

• Lead conceptualizing, planning and implementation of CREST services in Toa Payoh (individual, group and community-based)
• Lead multi-disciplinary case conference as part of intervention process. To guide junior workers in facilitating case conferences of a similar nature
• Manage and supervise staff in provision of CREST services
• Conduct coaching and performance management review with staff
• Mentor, coach and lead staff in their practice and competency development
• Contribute to the Integrated Case Management Core Team in service planning and development

Bachelor or Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work

About Youth – P180:

Project 180 @ Bukit Batok (A Youth Service by Fei Yue Community Services) is an Integrated Service Provider (ISP) appointed by MSF to run a suite of MSF-funded programmes for at-risk youths and young offenders below 21 years of age. Our centre serves the boundary of Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang.

Responsibilities:
Animal Care
• Collaborate with community partners to design and execute sessions for youths and/or their families.
• Plan and conduct talks, workshops, and programmes related to animal care.
• Liaise and network with partners to strengthen relationships and collaboration
• Develop and drive programme expansion.
• Ensure timely documentation and accurate data management to support programme delivery.
• Conduct ongoing evaluation to assess and enhance programme effectiveness
• Perform administrative tasks.

HYOS
• Conduct outreach activities and provide casework support to engage Hidden youths.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all outreach efforts and casework sessions.

Others
• Conduct talks and workshops in school.

Requirements:
• Possess a minimum of a Degree in Social Work.
• Relevant experience in working with youths and/or animals is preferred.
• Has a genuine love for animals and enjoys being around them.
• Keen interest in pursuing further studies in Animal-Assisted Interventions related courses.
• Demonstrates a strong passion for working with youths and their families,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with youths, families, and professional partners.
• A team player with excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Demonstrates resourcefulness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

g. Ensure the kitchen meet SFA requirements, especially in utensil & staff personal hygiene.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Reports directly to the Assistant Director (Social Work & Psychology)

Role

To oversee the Social Work and Psychology Department in their assigned centre(s) and work towards achieving the Centre's mission and vision by having close partnership with the Therapy Department, Teaching Department, Administrative Department and families of the children.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Overseeing the SW & Psychologists in their respective centres

• Enhance the quality of Social Work and Psychology services through professional development of the Social Workers and Psychologists
• Ensure that key stakeholders like parents are well managed and are satisfied with the programme

Supervision

• Supervise SWs, CWs, Psychologists and Psychologist Associates to provide quality case management
• Conduct annual performance appraisals for the SWs, CWs and Psychologists
• Orientate new SW/ Psychologists in their respective centres to the Centre's ethos and processes and their job scope

Process and Resources Management

• Ensure the smooth running of all related processes of Social Work and Psychology services in the respective centre
• Enforce and maintain consistent processes and practices of SW and Psychology across different SWs/ CWs and Psychologists in the respective centre
• Assign cases referred from SG Enable to SW/ CW
• Manage manpower matters including covering duties, leave applications
• Ensure that the student enrolment at the respective centre is meeting full capacity
• Ensure timely submissions of statistical reports by the respective centre to Government agencies for funding purposes
• Ensure that the centre passes the yearly muster audits and various audits conducted by Government agencies

• Minimum Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications in Social Work
• More than 5 years of working experience as a Social Worker

• Mature, independent, creative, flexible thinking and able to motivate staff
• Good people skills
• Able to work independently
• Has strong understanding of the diverse cultures and races
• Has patience, love, passion & commitment in the education of & nurturing young children and empowering the families
