Required Skills/Abilities:·

Thorough understanding of concrete technology, inspection, quality control and qualifty assurance procedures including the production of high quality pre-cast reinforced concrete tunnel segmental linings.

Education and Experience:·

Bachelors degree in Engineering with at least five years of related experience in managing quality control procedures for high quality pre-cast reinforced concrete tunnel segmental linings.·

Associates degree with related coursework plus a certified quality engineer certificate

Other requirements :-

Able to start work within 2 weeks after job after will have an added advantage

Position Summary

The Youth Worker will play a crucial role in implementing Resilient Minds programs within secondary schools, working closely with at-risk students to provide guidance, support, and a positive, trusting environment. This role involves direct engagement with students, facilitating group activities, providing one-on-one mentorship, and collaborating with school staff to support each student's emotional, social, and academic growth.

Youths at risk usually struggle with the following:

• Irregular attendance and showing signs of school refusal.
• Social-emotional and behavioural issues.
• Relationship issues with teachers and/or parents.
• Anger issues.
• Self-esteems issues.
• Weak social and family support

The school has 2 different focuses: Detention Programme & GEAR-UP Programme. You can only apply for ONE programme.

School location: East side

Working Hours for Detention Programme

• Tuesday & Wednesday only, 1pm-6pm
• Commitment needed: 21st January 2025 - 22 October 2025
• $40-$50 based on experience

Key Responsibilities for Detention Programme

1) Programme design, planning and implementation with school staff in engaging Tier 2 (vulnerable) and Tier 3 (high-risk) students:

• - Co-design, co-implement, monitor and review comprehensive Detention Programme on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for students who commit offences such as late coming, truancy, tailored to the needs of students on motivation, learning and behaviour modification.
• -Engage and manage students under detention in meaningful activities and conversations to inculcate values, motivate, address and modify undesirable behaviours

2) Mentoring and Befriending:

• -Establish positive and supportive relationships with high-needs students, offering guidance and mentorship to address their specific challenges and concerns, change behaviours, to inspire and be a role model to students to connect them to learning, peers, adults and school.
• -Conduct one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions to provide socialemotional support and build social-emotional competencies.

3) Partnerships with Stakeholders:

• -Work closely with the Student Development Team in a coordinated approach to monitor and support the well-being of high-need students.

Working Hours for GEAR-UP Programme

• Every Wednesday only 3pm - 5pm
• Commitment needed: 22nd January 2025 - 24 September 2025
• $40-$50 based on experience

Key Responsibilities for GEAR-UP Programme

1. Programme design, planning and implementation with school staff in engaging Tier 2 (vulnerable) and Tier 3 (high-risk) students:

• -Co-design, co-implement, monitor and review comprehensive GEAR-UP Programme on Wednesdays with 25 to 35 students with differentiated lower (Sec 1 and 2) and upper secondary (Sec 3) programme.
• -Engage and manage students under GEARUP in meaningful activities and conversations to inculcate values, motivate, address and modify undesirable behaviours.

2. Mentoring and Befriending:

• -Establish positive and supportive relationships with high-needs students, offering guidance and mentorship to address their specific challenges and concerns, change behaviours, to inspire and be a role model to students to connect them to learning, peers, adults and school.
• -Conduct regular one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions to provide socialemotional support and build social-emotional competencies.

3. Partnerships with Stakeholders:

• -Work closely with the Student Development Team in a coordinated approach to monitor and support the well-being of high-need students.

Important note: For both programmes (Detention & Gear-Up) there is a mandatory interview with the school after you are being shortlisted.

Interview will be 30 minutes slot on 23rd December 2024 (2pm - 4pm) or 26th December 2024 (9am - 3pm).

During the interview, the candidates are expected to present their ideas on students engagement and programme for either detention or Gear Up.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience working with at-risk youth, ideally in a secondary school setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students.
• Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment that encourages student growth.
• Knowledge of mental health practices, resilience-building strategies, and trauma-informed care.
• Problem-solving and adaptability skills to meet the unique needs of each student and school environment.

• Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other construction staff.
• Ensure project timelines are met and manage any delays or issues that arise.
• Monitor and enforce site safety regulations and compliance with local building codes.
• Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Review project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on-site.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Construction Site Manager or similar role.
• Well-versed in understanding and application of electrical codes and standards including Singapore Standards, IEC, IEEE, etc

About the role of Transformation Specialist / Social Worker

The Transformation Specialist is responsible for facilitating change and improving the lives of individuals, families, community facing the challenges of poverty through the provision of specialist interventions including but not limited to social work, home ownership, and livelihood interventions to realise their aspirations of getting out of the poverty cycle. Your interventions will help them overcome these obstacles and achieve long-term, meaningful progress. Job Description:

• Work collaboratively with community and ecosystem partners to empower and enable socially disadvantaged low-income families to achieve long-term goals like homeownership (with a focus on maintaining it for at least six years) or financial stability and asset-building, enabling them to create a brighter future and escape the poverty cycle.
• Provide holistic casework interventions, focusing on critical areas such as homeownership, livelihood improvement, and debt management. Assess individual family needs, offer guidance, and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve sustainable change.
• Maintain accurate and confidential family records, documenting progress, interventions and outcomes, on the required platforms such as (but not limited to) Social Service Net (SSNet), CaseConnect, and Family Transformation Management System (FTMS). Your attention to detail ensures that every family’s journey is well-documented, and the positive changes are measurable.
• The focus of this role is for families with a specific profile: low to no risk factors (e.g. family violence or suicide risk etc.) who still require professional intervention to address the barriers of poverty.
